NOTE: Toward the end of this article is an interesting examination of time, timeless, natural selection, evolution and intelligent design-creation. END OF NOTE.
Before we start to scripturally identify the Holy Spirit please read this earthly example of God’s work in people’s lives.
Example: This is a very poor and crude physical illustration of the trinity of God but this allegory will illuminate the information given in the rest of this commentary. For a minute please think of an earthly judicial system with three personages, three offices and three manifestations of power but only one man. Pretend you are an outlaw, an outcast from society. The allegory: One person is #1 Judge (God), #2 defense advocate (Jesus) and #3 Sheriff (Holy Spirit).
(John 6:44 & 12:32 & 2Cor. 3:17) The Judge, in his robes, issues a warrant to draw you to court. The Judge (God) takes off his robes, puts on his Sheriff’s uniform, becomes the Sheriff (Holy Spirit) and serves the warrant that draws you to court. BUT (Gen. 3:14 & Rev. 3:9) there is a fallen angel named Satan, the Devil, (unholy spirit) (2Cor. 4:3-4) who is the god of this world, (Eph. 6:11-12) the prince of the fallen angels who rule the kingdom of darkness and attempts to blind your mind (thinking process, soul) to the light of the glorious gospel (defined: Strong’s# 2097: to announce good news, show glad tidings) of Christ.
Looking back on my life and after my salvation then gaining the knowledge of God’s Holy Word I understand God’s drawing me toward Him through the Holy Spirit and the evil spirit Satan, the devil, both speak into a person’s thoughts in such a fashion that a person thinks they are their own thoughts.
EXAMPLE: The Holy Spirit; “Maybe I should start going to church and get my life straightened out.” The unholy spirit; “Well, Sunday is a great day to do a little work around the house, go fishing, picnic blah, blah, blah.” You start going to church and after a while you have started getting emotional. the Holy Spirit; “Maybe I need to go up and talk to the preacher about getting saved.” The unholy spirit; “Well maybe I need to put off going to church for a while until I can live perfect so I won’t be like my Christian friends who lose their temper and pitch a tantrum OR mash their thumb with a hammer and say bad words OR tell bad things that other Christians do OR:”
Then a Holy Spirit led Christian friend reads to you with loving kindness; (Prov. 1:23-28) (V.23) “Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my Spirit unto you, I will make known my words to you. (V24) Because I have called and ye refused: I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; (V.25) But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: (V.26) I will also laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; (V.27) When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. (V.28) Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:”
You and your Christian friend sit there a few minutes in silence then he says; “I know this guy that has a Christian website. I’ve never heard of him telling a lie so I believe what he writes. Get on the website Jesus, Me And Why.com., click on the commentary THE HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU, scroll down the menu to the article THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TRUTH and click on that. Scroll down that article a bit over half-way down and start reading the paragraph that begins with PERSONAL EXPERIENCE and read from there to the end.
That helps convince and after a few days you follow what the Holy Spirit drawing is saying to you and you to go to the altar and ask God to save you. You have entered the spiritual, instantaneous High Court of Heaven.
When you come to court the Sheriff takes off his uniform, puts on the Judge’s robe, becomes the Judge and finds you guilty as charged.
(2Cor. 5:10) The same man takes off the Judge’s robe, puts on the defense advocate’s suit, becomes the defense advocate (Jesus) (John 10:30 & 1John 2:1 keyword: advocate) and defends you in court. You get to say your statement; (Rom. 10:8-13) “I’m guilty! I have nothing with which to pay and I ask for mercy.” Then your defense advocate addresses the court; (Eph. 5:2 & 1John 1:7) “This man is unable to fulfill his sentence but I will pay his sin debt in full with my blood.”
And, with wondrous grace, he does pay your sin debt in full. He takes off his defense advocate’s suit, puts on his judge’s robe, becomes the judge and gives you a pardon signed in the blood of Jesus: No Charge, sin debt paid in full (SAVED, born again) (Mark 4:2-9 then V.13-20) but he puts you on probation (John 3:3 & 1Pet. 1:23 then 2Cor. 5:17-19 esp. V.17 keywords: new creature- defined: new creation) to learn how to function as a new person (Rom. 8:14-17 & Eph. 2:8-22 esp. V.19 keyword: fellowcitizens) in your new society.
Probation is handled through the Sheriff’s office. The Judge takes off his robe, puts on his Sheriff’s uniform, becomes the Sheriff, handles your probation, starts teaching you how to live in your (Titus 2:14) peculiar society (Rom. 8:9 & Eph. 1:13-14) and He is your connection to the court, the seat of power, authority and mercy where the Judge (God) and defense advocate (Jesus) operate. The Sheriff (Holy Spirit) keeps up with you and reports on your conduct.
Then here comes (1Pet. 5:8) the devil, as a roaring lion, who is (Rev. 12:9-10 esp. V.10 keywords: accuser of our brethren) and he is the prosecuting attorney, Satan the devil, who accuses Christians before God day and night. When you sin (Heb. 4:14-16) you must go to Jesus’ throne of grace and ask forgiveness and at your request through the Sheriff (Holy Spirit), (1John 1:7 thru 2:1) your defense advocate (JESUS), (2Cor. 12:9) whose grace is sufficient for you, cleanses each one of them and the Judge gives you a pardon: No Charge! Sin debt paid in full: signed in the blood of Jesus: (Heb. 4:14-16) when you come to Jesus’ throne of grace to “obtain mercy and find grace to help in your time of need”.
In this allegory you are dealing with the same person but his manifestation in each of his three offices requires a different recognition of function, protocol, communication and etiquette from you.
When probation is finally over (physical death) you go to a wonderful park which is actually a paradise (heaven) owned by the one person who has made it all possible. As you can see; this allegory is very much like being a lost sinner, being drawn, getting saved, living as a Christian and going to heaven. For right now Christians are on probation for the rest of our “lifetime” here on earth and this commentary is about the probationary work of the Holy Spirit.
HOLY SPIRIT: #1 WHO: These first two sentences are not about the Holy Spirit but must be stated to avoid confusion. Generally the (Jas. 2:26) spirit and the (Acts 12:23) ghost are interchangeable names and are defined as (breath, vital principal, life) and it is the animating life force given to all people by God. Man commonly calls this animating life force the spark of life.
The rest of this is about the Holy Spirit. (Phil. 1:19) The Spirit of Christ, (Matt. 3:16) the Spirit of God, (Rom. 8:26-27) the Spirit, (John 14:26) the Comforter, (John 16:13) the Spirit of truth, (1Cor. 6:19) Holy Ghost and (Luke 11:13) the Holy Spirit are interchangeable names and are defined as (Psa. 78:41 keywords: Holy One) the Holy One which is an identity, so the Holy Spirit is God’s soul and the spirit is life because God is the essence of life (Gen.2:7) and the giver of life.
(John 14:20-23) Common sense tells us if God the Father and Jesus the Son are in us the Holy Spirit is God/Jesus’ soul. (John 20:28-29) Even Thomas recognized this union when he called Jesus “my Lord and my God.” Jesus did not correct Thomas; Jesus silently agreed and accepted the homage. The Holy One will be referred to as the Holy Spirit in this commentary. As you can see the distinction between Spirit (Holy One) and spirit (life) is very important.
NOTE: KJV Bible: Upon rare occasion (Matt. 4:1) the Holy Spirit is referred to as the spirit. Commonly in the O.T. and much less commonly in the N.T. (Eccl. 4:4, 6, 16 & 6:9) spirit refers to the soul. Sometimes, but rarely, (Eccl. 3:21) spirit refers to both the soul and the spark of life (the life force from God that makes us eternal) when the soul and its life force depart from the body (death). And sometimes the scriptures expect us to understand the spirit of life and the soul depart together and the body is left behind (Luke 16:19-31) as shown in this vivid example. END OF NOTE.
(Luke 16:19-31) Without the word spirit being used Lazarus and the rich man are an example of this because they were still alive (breath, vital principal, life) even though their bodies were dead and physical breathing had stopped.
The information in this commentary and website is used as stated. Any individual scripture usually makes the meaning of the word spirit plain BUT: if you are ever in doubt of the Biblical usage of the word spirit please use your Bible dictionary, Strong’s Concordance is a good one, to define what the scripture is telling you because it is important.
(John 4:24) God is a Spirit. (Gen. 1:20-31) God is an eternal supernatural being who is the essence of life/existence. (Gen. 2:1-7) God creates and (Gen. 2:15-20) communicates. (Gen 2:7) God is life! God is the possessor and giver of life itself (spirit) of life, not the physical breathing, which many men choose to call the spark of life. (1John 4:8) God is love, the essence of love, love itself, a pure love that cannot be measured.
(Isa. 7:14) Isaiah prophesied that Immanuel, which, in Hebrew, is defined (with us is God), would be a Son born of a virgin and (Matt. 1:23) Matthew calls Jesus Emmanuel which, in Greek, is defined (God with us). (John 9:35-37) Jesus states He is the Son of God, (John 10:30) He is equal with God and (John 14:15-26) Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God are one.
(Rom. 1:20) The Godhead (Supreme Divinity) is one who is composed of three who are totally and completely one in identity, thought, power, purpose and will. God’s presentation of Himself to man is (Gen. 1:1-31 & John 4:24) #1 God- spirit of life- the essence of life- life itself/Creator, (John 4:29-42) #2 Jesus-body/Saviour and (John 14:15-23 & Rom. 8:9) #3 Holy Spirit-God’s soul/Comforter. (Col. 2:8-9) In Jesus dwells all the Godhead bodily.
(Col. 1:13-17 esp. V.15) Jesus is the image (representation) of the invisible God. When God said; “Let US make man in our image” God’s body, soul, and spirit was the US and man, made in God’s image, (1Thess. 5:23) is also body, soul and spirit.
The result of the Godhead’s unified work is that all individual Christians are to build a Church composed of many local churches throughout the world operated by people who choose Jesus as Savior, accept God the Creator’s salvation, obey God through the Holy Spirit within the guidelines of the Holy Bible and (Phil. 3:10-14 & Rev. 21:1-4) obtain eternal life in paradise with Jesus the Godhead in Person. It is God’s choice to present Himself this way and it is man’s choice to accept God and God’s way or refuse God and go his own way.
(1Tim. 3:16) It is a mystery how God separates Himself according to His will. Our body, soul, and spirit are bound together in this lifetime, we cannot separate them and we cannot imagine how God does but; (Luke 3:21-22) at a particular instant in time Jesus was being baptized, the Holy Spirit was descending in a bodily shape like a dove and God was speaking from heaven. (John 10:35-38) “the scripture cannot be broken” God chooses to reveal Himself according to the framework of the Holy Bible and there is no other source. He is God, period.
TIME
THINK ABOUT TIME FOR A BIT: It is a real stretch of the imagination but (Rev. 10:6) when there is no time (timeless) and no sense of time it is now. Here is a weak allegory: Time is in a straight line, it has a beginning and an end. Time always begins and ends for us. The day begins-the day ends. The school day begins-the school day ends. The meeting—-, the trip—-, the job—-, the game—-, your cat’s life—-, your life—-, you get what I’m saying.
In a timeless venue if you visited twenty thousand people in a huge stadium and you personally visited with each person there would be no sense of waiting my turn by anyone because there would be no time and no sense of time passing. Your visitation with each person, and every person, would be now. Imagine timeless as a ring; no beginning and no ending. If you were on or in that ring you are in timeless and it is xxxxxx now. In the past sentence I could not say; and it is always now because always is a frame of time.
(Gen. 3:22-24) Time began when God drove the first man and woman from the Garden of Eden. See what I mean? Before that it was now; God came, visited, left and came again; He visited in the cool of the day, but it was timeless, it was now. Note this: (Ex. 3:14) God told Moses to tell the children of Israel that “I AM” (I=Existing Person; AM=NOW) had sent Moses to lead them out of bondage in Egypt.(Gen. 3:5) Satan mentioned time “the day” in this scripture but that didn’t happen until “the day” they were driven from the garden.
(Gen. 1:14) Yes, God set the day, night, signs, seasons, days and years but that was (Gen 3:16-23) for when man was cursed by child birth, working and death (V.17) on a cursed earth. (Gen. 3:22) If Adam and Eve had eaten of the tree of life they would have remained in NOW. SO: (2Pet. 3:8) “But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.“ Time means nothing to God because it has no reference to, for, or about Him BUT God has put a timeline upon mankind.
Man puts a time reference on everything. Now that we are thinking correctly; think about the Jurassic era and all the other pre-man eras upon which MAN has placed a time reference, even the 4.5 billion years science says the earth has been in existence. The six days of creation happened in now (timeless) and the days reference is so we can understand time, timeless and priority.
(Gen. 2:4) You decide for yourself; did God let the world work through all the pre-human, lizard kingdom eras and etc. man has attributed time to and then start the creation sequence that resulted in (Gen. 1:20-28) the creeping things, birds and fish, living creatures and, there at the last; when God created man to inhabit God’s new/old world? OR:
Did He just make it happen at one time (oops, wrong word, I’d better use big bang)? OR: Was the Garden of Eden a protected, timeless garden God and Man enjoyed in NOW while the world outside the Garden was aging sufficiently through the millions, hundreds of millions, or even billions of years?
SO: Did God let creation happen with one big bang with all the fossils, the oil, gas and other fossil fuels, hills, rocks, dirt, rivers, oceans, solar system, universe and etc. in place and then start the creation sequence that resulted in man being created last as the pinnacle of God’s creation achievement (Gen. 1:26) because only man is created in the image of God?
Remember this; God gives you the freedom of choice to believe or disbelieve BUT Satan, the devil won’t if he can sucker (deceive) you in like he did Adam and Eve! *******#1) NOTE THIS! (Gen 3:9-19) The first man and woman rudely threw God’s offer of paradise (a prophesy of the salvation event- see the commentary Breath of Life for details) right back in God’s face (Gen. 2:15 thru 3:24) when they ate the forbidden fruit.
This paragraph can be hard to understand so go slow because it is worth your trouble. REMEMBER THIS: There is a style used in writing God’s Holy Scripture that first gives a general spiritual description and it is followed by a specific practical description that describes the same event. The reason this is clarified is because many of the ancient cultures such as Sumerian, Elamites, Egyptian, Cretans, and Mesopotamian had their own stories about the creation of man.
Most Christians will not hear about the writings of those ancient civilizations BUT: more and more, scholars are using those writings to attack the accuracy and correctness and therefore the truth of God’s Holy Scriptures SO: you young Christians will be faced with it AND: now you will know how to answer such criticisms. Some critics say the two narratives in the following scripture (Gen. 1:26-31 & 2:7-25) do not match, are out of order with each other and that proves the whole Bible is fanciful writing and not the revealed Word of God.
(Gen. 1:26-31) tells the GENERAL SPIRITUAL description of the creation sequence of man. (Gen. 2:7-25) tells the SPECIFIC PRACTICAL description of the same creation sequence of man. PLEASE READ THIS SCRIPTURE CAREFULLY: (GEN. 2:7-25): (V.7) specifically describes how God lovingly made the man and breathed into him God’s own spirit of life. (V.9) specifically describes how God made a garden paradise for the man in this new pristine world.
(V. 16-17) God specifically and carefully explained to the man that he had the freedom of choice. (V.18) God specifically describes His plan to make a companion for the man so man would not be alone. (V.19-20) specifically describes how God took pleasure from His relationship with Adam (show blood in the face, to be rosy).
(V.21-22) specifically describes how God made the woman. Can you imagine how happy God was and how excited He felt with the anticipation of presenting the woman to Adam? It is not written in the scripture but Adam must have at least thought “WOW” when he saw what God had made for him!
Another scripture that is an example of this style of writing is (1Cor. 15:34-57); (V.34) is self-explanatory. (V. 35-44) is a general spiritual description of the resurrection from the dead. (V. 45) is a hinge verse that ties the two concepts together. (V. 46-57) is a specific practical description of the same resurrection.
This style of writing, a general spiritual description followed by a specific practical description that describes the same event is used many times throughout the Holy Bible and you might want to keep this style of writing in mind the next time you decide to read THE REVELATION TO JOHN (The Apocalypse) commonly called the Book of Revelation.
NOTE: Eden means (to be soft or pleasant, to live voluptuously in delight and pleasure). The theory of Darwinism (author; Charles Darwin) basically says that all living things descended from a common ancestor by unguided processes such as natural selection acting on minor variations. END OF NOTE.
Archaeology and science WILL NEVER FIND a “real missing link” among all the bones and fossils of the various bi-pedal creatures that are used to try to prove man evolved from some primordial amoeba that lived in a seaside slime pool. God created the DNA gene pool and He mixed it to suit Himself to create the type of creature that suited Him; that’s why everything that lives has DNA and a bunch of God’s creatures have “some” of the “same” DNA.
A little bit or a lot of the “same” DNA makes no difference because God’s species are different from each other. Look at it this way: Part of the reason God did creation that way is to give man an equal chance to believe or disbelieve in God. What could possibly be more fair than that? THINK ABOUT IT!
THE FIRST CAVEMEN: (Gen. 3:23) Surely no one thinks Adam and Eve, who were the first CRO-MAGNON cavemen, left the Garden of Eden in a new Corvette and tooled on down the road to their air-conditioned condo to live happily ever after! (Gen. 1:31) God had given creation His best effort and as usual (Gen. 3:1-13) unappreciative man threw it right back in God’s face. HAVE YOU EVER DONE THAT?
TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION: (Gen. 5:11 & 14 among other scriptures) People “humans-homo sapiens” lived to be nearly a thousand years old during the Genesis (origin) period! (Gen.3:21) All the first two people had were the animal skins on their back when they left Eden and entered (Gen. 3:16-24 esp. V.17) the same cursed world of chaos we live in now. Perhaps God thought; “you wanted it; now you’ve got it.” They didn’t even know how to produce fire! What would you have done?
They were in a unique position because they were both predator and prey. Of course they grabbed a rock and club to fight off the critters that wanted to eat them. Of course they headed for the nearest security; A CAVE! They did not know how to hunt for food. They had to learn how to survive. They ate plants by trial and error and caught creeper/crawlers out of the creeks until finally, either by accident or design, they killed a warm blooded creature; FOOD! They were cavemen!
(Gen. 3:16 & 4:1) Can you imagine the uproar and excitement when their first child was born; they didn’t even understand what was happening? (Gen. 4:2) They learned rudimentary farming because all they had were crude stone tools and they probably discovered animal husbandry by accident. (Gen. 4:8) A stone tool was what Cain used to kill Abel in man’s first “little war“!
The burning question; over and over and over: WHO DID CAIN MARRY? WHO DID CAIN MARRY? (Gen.5:3-7) Cain obviously married a sister or niece since no one else was available. (Gen. 4:3) “in the process of time” means think about it; use your imagination. You have seen enough movies, TV shows and read enough about prehistoric man to let your imagination roam concerning this subject!
(Gen. 4:22-23) The first brass (bronze) age and Iron Age took place and man had an even better way to kill each other in ever “larger wars“. REMEMBER: (Gen. 5:11 & 14) People lived to be nearly a thousand years old at that time, there were several generations of them living at the same time SO A LOT OF PROGRESS CAN BE MADE TOWARD HOW WE LIVE TODAY!
THINK ABOUT THIS EXAMPLE OF TIME AND PROGRESS: Think about this example of the progress that has happened in our tiny lifetime. In less than a hundred years people went from Orville and Wilbur Wright’s feeble little flight at Kitty Hawk, NC to putting a man on the Moon and landing vehicles on the other planets and now we really have a better way to kill each other with the advent of rocket propulsion because we can wage “global war”.
Think about the trans-Atlantic telephone cable (a hard wire system) just a few short decades ago that was, at that time, a modern marvel of communication by voice. Now we have the internet connected throughout the world by satellite. Think about this: every person in the world who is connected to the internet by computer can read these words at the same time! I wish they would!
That is a perfect example of the evolution of communication. Now think about the evolution of travel, delivery of foodstuffs, entertainment, ability to wage war, delivery of clothes and other dry goods, electricity and etc. from 1900 to 2010.
Back to Genesis: (Gen. 6:5-7 esp. V.7) *******#2) NOTE THIS! Man again rudely threw the cursed world of chaos, where man’s own actions had placed him, right back in God’s face! God was sorry He had made man in the first place and decided to kill everything.
(Gen 6:8 thru 10:31 esp. 9:1) But God took a second look at Noah and decided to start over with Noah’s family. Noah had three sons: (Gen. 10:1&5) Japheth’s descendants were the gentiles. (Gen. 10:6 & 19-20) Ham’s descendants were the Canaanites. (Gen. 10:21-31) Shem’s descendants were the rest of the Middle Eastern tribes including what would become the Arab Nations and Israel. Of course after the flood man was forced by his circumstances to follow the same old process of discovery and progress as before.
Please think about this: (Gen. 11:1-9) After the tower of Babel dispersal: As these little families, tribes and clans developed and spread out to inhabit this awesome new world how many times was the art of making brass and iron lost and re-discovered throughout the centuries?
Example: Family X splits off from their clan because of some disagreement, being cast out, need for more space, shortage of food, or simple wanderlust. These hunter/gatherers meandered far before they found “that perfect valley with the perfect cave” in which to stop, OR: seashore, OR: lake, OR: mountain, OR: rolling prairie, OR: whatever.
One day their “keeper of the secret of brass and iron” is killed by a bear and the secret of brass and iron is dead also. There are only three results possible; they go on and do the best they can without brass and iron; they re-discover stone working and go on toward re-discovering brass and iron; or they meet with another family, clan, or tribe who will share their knowledge of brass and iron. Just think of how this scenario must have happened over and over and over.
Only God really knows the struggle for survival, knowledge and territory the Japhethites, Shemites and Hamites endured. Our puny little modern history knows about only one Bronze Age and only one Iron Age. While you are thinking about the above situations think about this: Iron and Bronze Age Europeans took America away from Stone Age Native Americans! Does that prove the point?
(Jude 6) GIANTS, THE OTHER TYPE OF CAVEMEN: (Gen. 6:1-5 esp. V.4 keyword: giants) Some of the angels (See Job 1:6 & 2:1 so you can understand who the sons of God are) took the daughters of men and the offspring of their coupling were obviously GIANTS and the Bible says these “partial humans” were “men of renown”.
Then you have Neanderthals and a host of other bipedal species. They are all “men of renown” (famous), especially now, because their extremely scarce fossilized remains foster the belief in “the theory of evolution” rather than creationism and everybody has heard all about the “struggle” between evolutionists and creationists. You will be shocked to the roots of your hair, probably several times! Yes, I’m trying to entice you to read it!

THINK ABOUT THIS: The bones of all these fossilized “beings” could be carried in a modest sized suitcase! Isn’t there a phrase; “much ado about nothing”? Don’t forget these searchers for the missing link exist on “grant money”! There isn’t much Biblical information concerning these partial humans because it is such a shameful event in the Genesis of man.
(Gen. 6:5-7) God destroyed these partial humans with the flood. But, had there been interbreeding between Cro-Magnon and partial humans some of their DNA “might have been passed on” through Noah’s son’s wives which would account for Goliath.
Please look up the “Nebraska Man” sometime. If you don’t want to; here’s a brief rundown. A rancher found a fossilized tooth. Evolutionary science identified it as having the characteristics of a chimpanzee (ape), a Pithecanthropus (Java man) and a Homo sapiens (modern man). Dr. Henry F. Osborn of Columbia University who was head of the American Museum of Natural History identified this tooth as coming from the missing link between ape and man and that tooth proved evolution and not creation was the source of modern man.
From that one tooth a body was built, family groups were pictured, hunting/gathering habits were identified and even a society was created. I have personally seen those pictures depicting that family group. ALL THAT FROM ONE TOOTH! “I guess we’ve put the Jesus freaks in their place now boys!”
A few years later the tooth was identified as belonging to an extinct pig! When you read about or listen to all this evolution stuff please pay attention to the qualifier words; “could have, it is believed, presumably, more than likely, similar to, may have allowed, could be, could mean, the bone suggested, it resembles, perhaps, it is virtually certain, looked like, almost, similar, it is thought, it is supposed, the theory is, maybe, possibly, probable, probably” and etc.
PLEASE REMEMBER THIS DEFINITION: Theory means (a system of assumptions (supposed true but without proof) based on limited information or knowledge produced by abstract reasoning (not applied or practical) to explain something.) This definition shows that a theory is simply a guess.

Fujimura’s straightforward con was undoubtedly accepted by the establishment, as well as the popular press, because it gave them evidence of what they already wanted to believe (emphasis mine)–the great antiquity of the Japanese people,” Michele Miller wrote in the archaeological journal Athena Review.
NATURAL SELECTION: We have all heard about, read about and talked about the theory of natural selection, evolution and the origin of humans (Homo sapiens) so I will take the short route. Once upon a time there was the big nothing. Somehow a big bang occurred in the big nothing and there was a big specific something made from a big nothing.
The big something that came from the big nothing with a big bang resulted in a cosmos, a universe, and behold, there was also a solar system revolving around a star that would someday be called Sol. The third rock from that star called Sol would someday be called Earth.
Somehow the big bang left Earth with atmosphere, water, wind, gravity, soil, oceans with currents in them, and etc. Sol somehow, all on its own, managed to shine light through the darkness of space and shed light on this primordial Earth that somehow also had plants and trees on it. It had night and day too! Man! Man, oh man, oh man! This was a really, really “specific accident“.
There were even more “specific accidents” waiting on the wings of chance. One day all the elements of this Earth were “accidentally” in the specifically right place in the specifically right amounts at the specifically right time in a specific little pool of water by a specific sea. NOTE: Science says man’s physical body contains all the elements of the earth; (Gen. 2:7) God does too.
As chance would have it the whole cosmos was accidentally just specifically right too and the cosmos was breathlessly fixed and focused on that little pool by a sea. Sol had accidentally cooked the water to a specifically correct temperature. There was a bolt of lightning that “accidentally” hit the little pool of water at a specific time.
“Accidentally” the specific voltage and current were just right and a tiny one celled organism was formed and life was ignited in it! To make a long, long, long story short; the one celled bit of life dragged itself across the beach, climbed a tree and “accidentally” went to work on “specific projects”.
The tree must have been a weeping willow with its down hanging branches because all kinds of creatures came down the branches. Amphibians came down one branch, fish came down another and hurried to the sea because they needed the water to breathe. Down another branch came whales, dolphins and etc. (mammals) which were not in such a hurry because they could breathe air but they needed to live in the sea.
There were branches for canines, felines, birds, horses, cows, reptiles, germs, flying bugs that hadn’t learned to fly yet, crawling bugs, burrowing bugs, worms, worms that could change into bugs that would be butterflies that would fly, turtles and; my goodness, here came some bi-pedal hominids down some of the branches.
One of them ran across the hill, hid in a cave and turned into a human, built a house, went in and learned to read so he could know he was thinking, came back out, built a four wheel drive ATV because there were no roads and drove away to live happily ever after. Somebody please figure the odds of all these specific events happening by chance (accident) and publish your results.
INTELLIGENT DESIGN-CREATION
(Eccl. 1:9) “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” Cro-Magnon caveman is still here and we are him! He lives in self-made convenience caves. He still hunts and gathers by hunting money and gathering possessions. He still kills others like him. He still produces art. He still reasons.
He still searches for meaning and purpose. He is curious and he invents. He procreates. He wonders about and fears death. He searches the sky and he searches his soul and thinks: “There has got to be something more than ceasing to exist after a few years of this thing called lifetime.” SO, LET US LOOK AT US; but first think about these definitions.
1) Civilize – to bring out of a primitive or savage state.
2) Civilized – having a highly developed society and culture.
3) Sophisticate – to cause to become less natural.
4) Sophisticated – having acquired worldly knowledge or refinement.
5) Society – a self-perpetuating family, clan, tribe, group, or nation generally distinguished from other groups by mutual interests, participation in characteristic relationships, shared institutions and a common culture.
6) Culture – the totality of a society’s generational transmitted behavior patterns, arts, religions, laws, institutions, government and all other results of that particular society’s work and thought characteristics.
EVOLUTION: Yes it is proper to believe in the evolution of man! We have “evolved” from the ability to kill one man at a time to killing all men at one time in thermonuclear war. We have evolved our thinking and pinpointed our reasons for waging war and they are racism, greed, politics and religion. We have evolved our thinking and pinpointed our reasons for fighting among ourselves and they are jealousy, pride, selfishness and greed.
We have evolved from talking to our own little family, clan, or tribe in very limited languages TO: talking to whoever we want to on paper because of the invention of the printing press by Johannes Gutenberg in 1440 TO: talking to all men at one time by electronically transmitted writing, voice and pictures.
NOTE: The printing press rapidly increased evolution in the sciences, literature and etc. because information could be stored and transmitted rapidly and many people could work together on projects even though they were far apart. The electronic media increased communicating and thus man’s evolution to the speed of light.
There is no further use to belabor this subject because you can plainly see where it is going. According to (Eccl. 1:9) quoted above and by our own observation we can see that man has evolved some complicated methods, language and self-regard but we have not changed from the origin of man.
We have evolved in our ability to place some really neat names such as civilized, sophisticated and culture on our family, clan, tribe, or nation because of pride but our motivations, desires and thought processes remain the same as from the beginning of man.
We are evolved in our communication, our ability to travel and our education but we are still ruled by our beliefs, our values, our passions and our version of truth just like the first man and woman. MAN DID NOT CHANGE!
Yes, we are the product of thousands of years of evolution BUT WE ARE STILL CRO-MAGNON JUST LIKE ADAM AND EVE. *******#3) NOTE THIS! (John 3:16-21) and most of us are still rudely throwing God’s offer of salvation and paradise right back in God’s face.
LET US LOOK AT THE FACTORS THAT BROUGHT ABOUT THE ENDING OF A GREAT NATION:
(1) degenerate, weak, indecisive, liberal government leadership;
(2) abuse of power by civic, economic, and government leadership;
(3) sophisticated elitism in pay and style of living by certain politically connected individuals, certain members of fraternities, clubs and associations and also financial, business and politically “connected” powerful generational families;
(4) excessive taxation that destroyed citizens will to work and succeed so the government could dole out civilized, liberal, socialist, sustenance entitlement support to a segment of society that refused to work and also to support the non-producing excessive sized government;
(5) loss of cultural civic virtues by citizens who felt they had no voice in their government;
(6) more and more male citizens refusing to live tough “manly” lives because of their demand to be supported and entertained;
(7) ever increasing moral and social cultural corruptness in society caused by mind altering chemical abuse;
(8) increasing pacifism by society that hindered a national military mindset;
(9) spread of licentious behavior through the culture of the society which destroyed families and family ties;
(10) citizens became weak and let immigrants do their work and soldiering;
(11) “policeman” governmental policies that sought to bring their type of government to tribal people who were satisfied just the way they were and that resulted in continuous wars that killed or disabled many of the strongest and smartest men and wasted huge amounts of much needed resources;
(12) a destabilized society caused by gangs of thugs, support of institutionalized criminals and rampant crime.
You have been and are thinking of the name of a nation so go ahead and say it out loud. You are probably right but this is written about the cultural changes that destroyed the Roman Empire!
In case you did think about America: America, as a nation, is in the process of turning away from God. As of Oct. 20, 2011; what are people thinking and talking about? Money has become America’s god, AND: pride, greed, selfishness and anger are the coin of the realm, SO: pleasure is the high priest, unrestrained passion is the ritual of worship and the gifts, offerings and tithes are laid at self’s feet in the worship of SELF!
TRUE EVOLUTION IS BROUGHT ABOUT BY GOD THROUGH HIS HOLY SPIRIT: (John 14:1-9 esp. V.6) Jesus said; “no man cometh unto the Father (God) but by me.” (John 6:44) Jesus said; “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him:”
(John 3:3-8) Jesus said; “Man must be born again” (1Pet. 1:18-25 esp. V.23) not of corruptible seed like a physical birth but a re-birth of the soul (inward man, self, personality) through the Holy Spirit of God (2Cor. 5:17-18) and only then are we “A NEW CREATURE (CREATION) IN CHRIST“.
(John 14:15-26 & 1Cor. 3:16) The Holy Spirit lives within us to teach us and guide us by revealing God’s Holy Word through our own prayer and study and church preaching and teaching so we can learn to be productive Christians.
(Eph. 3:22) Through the indwelling Holy Spirit we have become a habitation of God (Rom 8:15-17) and we are joint-heirs with Jesus to the kingdom of God. (Rom. 8:9) If we do not have the Holy Spirit within us we cannot be Joint-heirs with Jesus.
(Gen. 1:26 & 2:7) Only man has the “breath of life” from God and only man is a living soul. (Eccl. 3:21) Only man has a spirit (life) that goes back to God. The spirit (life) of a beast (animal) goes back to the earth! (Isa. 57:15) God inhabits eternity. We live in this temporary span we call lifetime.
(Luke 16:19-31 esp. V.22) According to scripture, at the time of your death you the soul (inward man) will leave your physical body (outward man) and the spirit (life) goes with it. Each person, both saved and lost, will enter a spiritual state of existence in eternity to either heaven (paradise) or hell.
You, the soul, will have (V.23) sight, (V.24) touch and taste, (V.25) hearing and smell, (V.27 & 30) you will have your understanding and ability to reason, (V.28) you will have your memory about living on earth and what you could have done. AND:
(V.28 & 30) All of you will have your emotions, even in the fire, because this man was concerned about his brothers because he loved them. (John 5:28-29) You, the eternal soul, will be rejoined with your new eternal body in the resurrection after earth ends.
(Rev. 20:10-15) You will be judged; (V.12) the books are the 66 books of the Holy Bible, the Book of Life (Mal. 3:16 keywords: book of remembrance & 4:5-6 keyword: Elijah explained by Matt. 11:7-15 esp. V. 14 keyword Elias- the Greek name for Elijah: Jesus is referring to John the Baptist) where the names of faithful Christians are recorded and the book of remembrance. (John 5:29) Then each of us will be resurrected, each life will be examined and each person will either go to (Rev.21:1-8) the new heaven and earth to live forever with God or go to the lake of fire to die forever with Satan (Rev. 20:14) because death is there. Think about it; forever feeling (1Cor. 15:55-57) the sting of dying but never able to get it accomplished!
Satan is the personality of the lake of fire and he is rebellion, hatred, anger, fury and torment. According to scripture; (Matt. 3:7-17, 10:25-28 & 13:37-42; Mark 9:43-48; 2Pet. 2:1-22; Jude 4-7; & Rev. 20:13-15) The UNSAVED will go to a lake of fire to forever (now) die but they cannot get their dying finished.
That is an unimaginable horror; forever dying, the NOW of dying, in the most awful torment; almost smothered to death; barely able to breathe except in small gasps because of the heat. Skin scorching, blistering, erupting and then doing it all over again.
Forever (now) dying in the gut wrenching awful stink of burning sulfur, sewage and festering rot. (Rev. 20:10-15) Trapped there in now to be terrorized, tormented and victimized by the twisted, horrid devil they chose.
(1Cor. 2:9 & Eph. 3:8) Jesus is the personality of Heaven. (1Cor. 2:9-10 & 1John 4:8) Jesus is a magnificent love Who wraps all around you and flows all through you and mortal words cannot describe the depth and magnitude of that love.
(Matt. 28:18-20) That Personality is filled with good humor; gentle, tender humor Who gives you a great, happy hug that wishes you the best feeling you have ever had and that Personality gives it to you too. Please read I Have Experienced Christian Physical Death Part 1 and Part 2 on the menu of this commentary. There were two witnesses (Matt. 18:16-20) just like the Bible requires for proof. One was an EMT and the other was a mortician in a funeral home. Please read both articles to completion because scripturally Christians do not die like unsaved people.
Jesus bathes you, every part of you, in awe inspiring kindness, goodness, tenderness, sweetness and caring. (1Pet. 1:7-12) That personality is joy unspeakable and there is no possibility of, or even the thought of, anything bad or wrong because (Rev. 21:23) Jesus is the personality of Heaven. (Rev. 21:1-4) The SAVED will go the new heaven and a new earth to be with Jesus whom they chose.
That is an unimaginable delight, now living where there will not be the terror, screams, snubbing gasps and pleas for mercy by an abused child, no more emergency sirens and flashing lights, no more lonely Mommies and Daddies with their souls ripped to shrieking shreds of pain while they look at their dead child.
Forever (now) living: No more age wrinkled, withered, pain twisted bodies of suffering old people; no more disease wasted, broken bodies filled with unbearable pain. Forever (now) living: Run! Run! Look! Look long and hard as you run through heaven and you will not see a cemetery, nursing home, emergency room, or abortion clinic. You will not find a clock and nobody will know what you are talking about if you ask.
Forever (NOW) living: When you stop, listen to the music. Hear it? It’s the children laughing. There’s millions and millions of them running and laughing across the green fields of glory. NOW living: (Rev. 22:1-5) there in that place of wonder, beauty, goodness and excitement where everything is always brand new because it is now.
(Rev. 21:4) Now, where there is no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain. Experiencing NOW LIVING there with Jesus the Godhead in person, there in that place so like the Garden of Eden, that Paradise.
