I do not use the accepted way of placing just the scriptures at the end of a sentence or paragraph. On this website I place the scriptures at the beginning of the sentence because sometimes I feel keywords and/or the definition of certain words gives the reader better and more clear understanding of what they are preparing to read. I have been told many times that is a good way of helping readers comprehend the material they are reading.

I use the KJV Holy Bible and for the definitions of Biblical words I use the internet godrules.net/library/kjvstrongs/kjvstrongs which I keep minimized in two or three places on my computer for convenience and quick referral. If you use a different Bible than the KJV you will have to replace the kjv with your Bible name. I also use the new KJV exhaustive concordance book available in most bookstores because sometimes the internet version doesn’t give the definition of a word. No, I don’t know why. BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO GOD/JESUS

(Rom. 1:20) The Godhead (Supreme Divinity) is one who is composed of three who are totally and completely one in identity, thought, power, purpose and will. God’s presentation of Himself to man is (Gen. 1:1-31 & John 4:24) #1 God- spirit of life- the essence of life- life itself/Creator, (John 4:29-42) #2 Jesus-body/Saviour and (John 14:15-23 & Rom. 8:9) #3 Holy Spirit-God’s soul/Comforter. (Col. 2:8-9) In Jesus dwells all the Godhead bodily. (Col. 1:13-17 esp. V.15) Jesus is the image (representation) of the invisible God. When God said; “Let US make man in our image” God’s body, soul, and spirit was the US and mankind, made in God’s image, (1Thess. 5:23) is also body, soul and spirit.

(1Cor. 1:10-13 & 3:1-6) Jesus did not bring a religion based on a denomination, not even yours, not even mine. (Heb. 10:1-10) Jesus did not bring a bunch of cold, dead, impossible to keep rules and laws so He could find an excuse to send us to hell. (John 14:1-27 esp. V.6, 9, 18 & 23 & Heb.10:19-23 keywords: living way) In His nail scarred hands Jesus spiritually extends the offer of an individual, personal love relationship with God, according to God’s Holy Word, through the Holy Spirit (1John 4:8 & 16) founded on love because God is love.

(Rom. 5:8-9 & Gal. 2:20) It is based on love because Jesus loves us enough to die so we can get saved and (Matt. 1:1 through Rev. 3:22) built on love by keeping our Christian relationship of love with God flourishing, (John 1:1-4 & 1John 1:1-4) according to God’s Holy Word of love, (2Cor 3:17) through the Holy Spirit of love (Matt. 13:18-23) and depending on the intensity of each individual Christian’s love for God and each individual Christian’s desires, values, attitude, activities and abilities (2Pet. 3:18) in each one’s growth, (Heb. 6:4-6  & 2Pet. 2:20-22) or failure, as a Christian after accepting Jesus’ offer of salvation.

Love is mentioned several times in the above paragraph simply because (1John 4:8 & 16) GOD IS LOVE. (John 3:16) God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so we could be saved through Him and go live with God when our body dies. There is nothing more precious than giving a son so someone else can have life.

(1Tim. 3:16) In the great mystery of His existence God, Pure Love, manifested Himself (physically born) as His own Son, Jesus, (John 14:5-9 & Col. 2:8-9 esp. V.9) in whom dwelt all the Godhead bodily. Why a Son? Because we can understand there is no greater price than a Son that a Father can give for something. AND: (James 1:13 keywords: God cannot be tempted with evil & Psa. 18:30 keywords: As for God his way is perfect) All the attributes of God show that He is perfect in all His ways. BUT: The only way God could experience (Luke 4:1-13 & Heb. 4:14-15) temptation as does mankind was to be physically born and live in a man’s body. SO:

(John 11:27-45) Pure Love puts itself in the place of another, (John 6:59-71) to walk in their shoes, (John 2:1-2) to share their laughter, to share their company, to be with them, (Luke 22:44) to feel their sinking inside in the face of danger and the threat of death. (Matt. 14:12-21) Love wants to share their burdens, (Mark 11:15-17) feel their disappointment, (Luke 22:41-44) to feel their anxiety and uncertainty, (John 11:35) and feel their tears on Love’s own face, (Luke 4:1-13) to share their temptation. Pure Love will share all their earthly life from the beginning of it to ending of it. (2Cor. 5:21) Pure Love will even take their judgment and pay their penalty and Pure Love is willing to give His life for our life, mine and yours.

(Malachi 3:6) God does not change. (Num. 23:19) God does not lie. (Heb. 6:18) It is impossible for God to lie. (1Pet. 1:25) The WORD of the Lord endures forever. (Matt. 24:35) Jesus’ words shall not pass away. (Prov. 15:3 & Heb. 4:13) The eyes of the Lord are in every place beholding the evil and the good.

BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO SATAN, THE DEVIL

I have been a Christian 48 years and I have never heard a sermon or a teaching concerning Satan the Devil who is the greatest enemy of individual Christians and the church! All I have ever heard is; “The Devil is a defeated foe!” which is an ignorant statement because of the warnings about Satan, the Devil in the Bible. I will be very brief here and if you wish to know more click on the commentary Who is Satan, the Devil.

This scripture tells us Lucifer, the serpent’s, opinion of himself. (Ezek. 28:13-17) (V.13) God had created Lucifer to be an especially beautiful, musical angel. (V.17) “Thine heart (Strong’s #3820: the feelings, the will, inner being, mind, soul) was lifted up (Strong’s #1361: to be haughty, to be proud) because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted (Strong’s #7843: to destroy, go to ruin) thy wisdom (Strong’s #2451: wisely, skillful, *skill in war*, shrewdness) by reason of thy brightness (Strong’s #3314: beauty, splendor, brightness, shining):”

(1Chron. 21:1) God changed Lucifer’s name to Satan (O.T. Hebrew: Strong’s #7853-54: adversary, to accuse, the arch enemy of good: N.T. Greek: Strong’s #4566-67: the devil, the accuser) (Isa. 14:12-15) (V.12) “How art thou fallen from heaven O Lucifer, son of the morning!” Because of Lucifer’s rebellion in Eden by not guarding Adam and Eve he had become God’s adversary through his 5 “I wills” (V.13) For thou hast said in thine heart I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:” (V.14) “I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High (Strong’s #5945: the Supreme).”

(Eph. 6:10-12) (V.10) “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might (Strong’s #2479: ability, force, strength),”

(V.11) “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able stand against the wiles (Strong’s #3180: traveling over, lie in wait, cunning arts, deceit, craft, trickery) of the devil.”

(V.12) “For we wrestle (Strong’s #3823: the Christian’s struggle with the power of evil) not against flesh and blood, but against principalities (Strong’s #746: origin, the person or thing that commences a thing, the first person or thing in a series, the leader), against powers (Strong’s #1849: in the sense of ability, force, capacity, superhuman, token of control, delegated influence —-this was taken from the very top because the list under that is as long as my hand and wrist if you wish to see for yourself), against the rulers (Strong’s #2888: a world-ruler, an epithet of  Satan, lord of the world, prince of this age, the devil and his demons: epithet is defined by Merriam-webster.com: a characterizing word or phrase accompanying or occurring in the place of the name of a person or thing, a disparaging or abusive word or phrase: Examples: a comedian does something silly and says; “The devil made me do it!” Or a cartoon character; Elmer Fudd or Buggs Bunny etc. swats or tricks the devil and defeats him) of the darkness (Strong’s #4655: obscurity, of ignorance things respecting divine things and human duties, and the accompanying ungodliness and immorality, together with their consequent misery in hell) of this world, against spiritual (Strong’s #4152: relating to the human spirit, or rational soul) wickedness (Strong’s #4189: depravity, iniquity, malice, evil purposes and desires) in high (Strong’s book #2032: a leader) places.”

This is an example about how Satan, the Devil, can speak to a Christian’s soul and cause that Christian to sin. (Acts 4:32-37) The Christians who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money to the apostles, and they distributed the money to other Christians who had need (Acts 5:1-10) (V.1) “But a certain man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a possession,” (V.2) “And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles feet.” (V.3) “But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled (Strong’s #4137: to make full) thy heart (Strong’s #2588: the soul or mind, as it is the fountain and seat of the thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purposes, endeavors) to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land. (V.4) “thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.” (V.5) “And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost (Strong’s #1634: to expire, to breathe out one’s life):” (V.7-10) Ananias’ wife, Sapphira, also a liar, met the same fate! (Rev. 21:8) “and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth fire and brimstone:”   

I have never heard a complete preached sermon or a teaching concerning (***2Cor 11:13-15***) either! (1Pet. 5:8) Satan, the devil, is the greatest enemy of the church and individual Christians BUT: preachers and teachers obviously do not understand Satan’s work in churches OR Satan, the Devil, has them blinded and they can fall victim to (Eph. 6:11 keywords: the wiles of the devil: wiles defined: Strong’s #3180: cunning arts, deceit, craft, trickery) (***2Cor 11:13-15***) (*V.13) “For such are false apostles (Strong’s #5570: one who falsely claims to be an ambassador for Christ), deceitful (Strong’s #1386: guileful) workers (Strong’s book #2040: toiler, figuratively a teacher from #2041: toil as an effort or occupation by implication an act, deed), transforming themselves (Strong’s #3345: to transfigure or disguise, to change the figure of, to transform) into the apostles (Strong’s #652: a delegate, messenger, one sent forth with orders) of Christ (Strong’s #5547: the Messiah).” (*V.14) “And no marvel (Strong’s #2298: wonderful, marvelous, worthy of pious admiration); for Satan (Strong’s #4567: adversary, one who opposes another in purpose or act, the prince of evil spirits) himself is transformed (Strong’s #3345: to change the figure of) into an angel (Strong’s #32: one who is sent, a messenger from God) of light (Strong’s #5457: to shine or make manifest).”

NOTE: Each Christian’s three front war is with (1John 2:15-17 & John 15:18-23) #1 the world with its offerings, temptations, seductions, and persecutions, (2 Cor. 4:3-4 & 1Pet. 5:8) #2 Satan, the devil, with his blinding, deceptions, suggestions, and accusations and (Rom. 8:3-8 & 1Cor. 3:3) #3 your own human nature (self, the flesh, carnality).

Satan, the devil, (*Rev. 12:4 keywords: one third then 7-9*) (*V.7*) “And there was war in heaven: Michael (Strong’s #3413: the first of the chief princes or archangels) and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought (Strong’s #4170: to carry on war) and his angels,” (*V.8*) “And prevailed (Strong’s #2480 from 2479: to have or exercise force) not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. When Satan, the Devil, and his one third of his rebellious helper angels that were cast out of heaven by Michael and his angels are commonly called demons but they are called devil or devils in my KJV Bible are those who are leading these false ministers of righteousness (V.15) in the second paragraph above. (2Cor. 4:3-4) (V.3) “But if our gospel (Strong’s Book #2098 from #2097: to announce good news, declare, bring, show, glad tidings, preach) be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:” (V.4) “In whom the god (Strong’s #2316: a god or goddess, a general name of deities or divinities) of this world hath blinded (Strong’s #2186: to make blind, to blunt the mental discernment, darken the mind) the minds of them of them which believe not, lest the light (Strong’s #5462: the act of enlightening, illumination) of the glorious (Strong’s #1391: opinion, judgment, view, opinion) gospel (Strong’s book #2098 from #2097: to announce good news, declare, bring glad tidings) of Christ who is the image (Strong’s #1504: figure, likeness) of God, should shine unto them.

SO: That also proves that Satan, the Devil, is also the founder of the false, idolatrous, religions; Buddhism, Hindus, Confucius, Chinese Folk Religions and etc. that are written by Satan guided philosophers etc. and any religion that exclude these Biblical statements *** (John 3:16-21 esp. V.16 keywords: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Catholics use the same KJV Holy Bible as I use which is the 66 Books KJV Holy Bible except the Catholic KJV has 73 books, an additional 7, they call the Apocrypha. In the KJV Old and New Testament (Lev. 20:13 and 1Cor. 6:9-10) God calls homosexuality an abomination and Pope Francis blesses what God calls an abomination SO He is a liar and he calls God a liar (Rev. 21:8) “and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:”

(1Cor. 11:19 keyword: heresies, Gal. 5:20-21, V.20 keyword: heresies then V.21 keywords: they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God & 2Pet. 2:1 keywords: Shall bring in damnable *defined: Strong’s #684: *utter destruction, the destruction which consists of *eternal* misery in hell heresies: defined: Strong’s #138-139 ***to take for oneself***, and Strong’s #139 which is taken from Strong’s #138 and is defined: **disunion.**) (***2Cor 11:13-15***) Do you now understand how successful Satan, the Devil, has been seducing individual churches and whole denominations into damnable  heresies in which they to take for oneself which is     to interpret the Bible their way and disunion which is defection which is an abandonment of a Biblical truth: and to break away from the true church.

BUT: (Matt. 7:15) “Beware of false prophets (Strong’s #5578: one who, acting the part of a divinely inspired prophet, utters falsehoods under the name of divine prophesies), which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves (Strong’s #3074: metaphor of rapacious destructive men).” AND:

Jesus said; (Matt. 7:21-24) (V.21) “Not everyone that sayeth unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” (V.22) “Many will say to me in that day, (Strong’s #2250: the last day of this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final judgment, and perfect his kingdom), Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? (V.23) “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity (Strong’s #458: contempt and violation of law, wickedness). (V.24) “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock. (1Pet. 2:1-6 esp. V.6) “Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded (Strong’s #2617: to dishonor, disgrace).” The corner stone, Jesus, is the anchor of the foundation and sets the level and squareness of the building (His church) (John 1:1 & 14 & 1John 1:1-2 & 5:6-7) because Jesus is the living Word of God!

There are single churches and denominations who say God can not or will not take a Christian’s name out of the Book of Life regardless of not doing any WORKS or because of SINS commonly called; Once in grace always in grace regardless of sin or works?

That is a lie and they and they call God a liar BECAUSE: (2John V.9) Whosoever transgresseth (Strong’s #3845: #3 to overstep, neglect, violate, transgress), and abideth not in the doctrine (Strong’s #1322: teaching) of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

WORKS: (Matt. 5:16) “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (James 2:17) “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” (James 2:24) “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.” (Eph. 2:10) “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in then.”

SINS: I heard an internationally famous preacher say three separate times that “Once you’ve sinned enough God will just take you on to heaven because you are not worth much to him here.” I turned that once in grace always in grace trash off and never watched him again. (Rev. 21:8 keywords: all liars) He died and I cannot help but wonder what God said to him because he had lied and called God a liar.

(2Pet. 2:20-23) (V.20) “For after they have escaped the pollutions (Strong’s #3393: that which defiles) of the world through the knowledge (Strong’s #1922: precise and correct knowledge of things ethical and divine) of the Lord (Strong’s #2962: he to whom a person belongs) and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled (Strong’s #1707: to inweave, involve in) therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. (V.21) “For it had been better for them not to have known (Strong’s #1921: to know thoroughly and accurately) the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered (Strong’s #3860: to deliver to one something to keep, use, take care of, manage) unto them.” (V.22) “But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog (Strong’s #2965: metaphor for a man of impure mind, an impudent man) is turned to his own vomit again: and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire (Strong’s #1004: dung).

Why would the latter end is worse with them than the beginning highlighted in the above paragraph? God’s answer is the only one that counts. (Heb. 6:4-6) (V.4) “For it is impossible (Strong’s #102: unable to be done) for those who were once enlightened and have tasted (Strong’s #1089: from the top: to experience) of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers (Strong’s #3353: sharing in, a partner) of the Holy Ghost (Strong’s #4151: the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son:), (V.5) “And have tasted (Strong’s #1089: from the top: to experience) the good word of God, and the powers of the world (Strong’s #165: forever, an unbroken age, eternity) to come,” (V.6) “If they shall fall away (Strong’s #3895: from the top: to apostatize), to renew them again unto repentance seeing they crucify to themselves (Strong’s #1438: himself, herself, itself) the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” NOTE: They had gone too far into sin and God would not take them back! That kills the concept of once in grace always in grace perversion of God’s word! If somehow all this did not penetrate your ignorant soul let us hear it from God’s own mouth (Rev. 22:19 keywords: God shall take away his part out of the book of life). If that did not convince you I guess you will just have to go on to hell for being a liar and calling God a liar.  END OF NOTE.

The above causes me to think about the church at Rome. The Holy Spirit revealing and teaching? Of course, as usual! (Rom. 1:4-32) (V.5-8) This is written to the church at Rome and is very complimentary to the Christians in that congregation. (V.17-18) But then Paul, the Christian preacher, evangelist, and church founder somehow appears to start pointing out a group within the church at Rome. (V.18) “For the wrath (Strong’s #3709: anger) of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;” (V.19) “Because that which may be known of God is manifest (Strong’s #5318: apparent, known, to be plainly recognized) in them for God hath shewed it unto them.”

(V.20) These people clearly understood God’s work as Creator. (V.21) “Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations (Strong’s #1261: inward reasoning, deliberating, questioning, disputing, arguing), and their foolish heart (Strong’s #2588: the soul, figuratively the thoughts, feelings) was darkened (Strong’s #4654: to cover with darkness). NOTE: When they knew God makes it very obvious, they were Christians and were part of the church at Rome! Please see (2Cor 4:4 & 11:13-15) above in the INTRODUCTION TO SATAN, THE DEVIL, and you will see how this evil angel is helping them in their inward thinking and outward discussions so they will spiritually destroy themselves! And (Gal. 1:7 keywords: pervert: (Strong’s #3344: from the top: corrupt) the gospel of Christ) END OF NOTE. (V.22) “Professing themselves (Strong’s #5335: to affirm, allege) to be wise (Strong’s #4680: skilled, expert, cultivated), they became fools (Strong’s #3471: from the top: to become insipid, act as a simpleton),”

(V.23) It sounds as if they were tinkering with thoughts of EVOLUTION which had been evaluated by the ancient Greek philosophers. From that concept could have originated the idea; “Well, boys n girls God made us this way so it’s ok. Yipeee!” (V24) “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves.” NOTE: The word also proves God had started trying to turn them back in (V.21-23). It is also obvious God, using His Holy Spirit, His Holy Word and possibly the true Christians in the church was losing the battle save these sinful, backsliding Christians from destroying themselves. END OF NOTE. (V.25) “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature (Strong’s #2937: the act of founding, establishing, the act of creating) more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

(V.26) “For this cause God gave them up unto vile (Strong’s #819: dishonor, ignominy, disgrace) affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.” (V.27) “And likewise (Strong’s #3668: equally, in the same way) also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working (Strong’s #2716: to perform, accomplish) that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error (Strong’s #4106: a straying about, one led astray from the right way) which was meet (Strong’s #1163: it is necessary, it is right and proper).”

NOTE: Above (V.26) You can see God had tried to rescue them three times but they refused to be rescued and this 4th time he gave them up forever. It is obvious both female and male sexes had entered into homosexual relationships; (Lev. 18:22) which says homosexuality is an abomination (Strong’s #8441: a disgusting thing, wickedness) and the highlighted words in the below paragraph do you remember (John 1:1 & 14) (V.1) “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (V.14) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,” (1John 1:1 & V.7 keywords) “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, the Word of life;” (V.7) “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” Jesus is the living Word of God and His blood is what washed away the sins of the Christians in the Church at Rome AND THAT IS WHAT THE BREAKAWAY GROUP IN THE CHURCH AT ROME DID NOT LIKE TO RETAIN!” Yes, (Heb. 13:5) “he hath said I will never leave thee nor forsake thee.” BUT HE DID NOT SAY; “YOU CAN NOT LEAVE HIM!” END OF NOTE.

(V.28) “And even as they did not like to retain (Strong’s #2192: to have, to hold) God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate (Strong’s #96: not standing the test, not approved, unfit for) mind (Strong’s #3563: the faculties of perceiving and understanding and those of feeling, judging, determining and refers to #5590: the rational soul) to do those things which are not convenient;” (V.29) “Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication (Strong’s #4202: unlawful sexual intercourse, adultery, sexual immorality, homosexuality, intercourse with animals, etc.) wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,” NOTE: Can you hear him? (2Cor. 11:13-15) Satan, the Devil, whispering into their thoughts; “God made you the way you are! Start your own church! Start your own church! You there; You are super smart; (V. 20, 21 above, & V. 23) You reasoned a lot of this out and told the others in your discussions. (2Cor. 11:13-15) You can even be their PREACHER!” END OF NOTE.

(Rev. 21:7-8) (V.7) “He (Strong’s #846: himself, herself) that overcometh (Strong’s #3528: Christians that hold fast their faith even unto death against the power of their foes, and temptations, and persecutions) shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he (Strong’s #846: himself, herself) shall be my son.” (V.8) But the fearful (Strong’s #1169: timid, by implication faithless), and unbelieving (Strong’s #571: unfaithful, faithless, not to be trusted), and the abominable (Strong’s #948: to render foul, to cause to be abhorred, detest), and murderers (Strong’s Book #5406: criminal intentional homicide), and idolaters (Strong’s #1496: a worshipper of false gods, a covetous man as a worshipper of Mammon), and all liars (Strong’s #5571: lying, deceitful, false), shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”  

(Luke 16:15-26) (V.15) keywords: “for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination (Strong’s #946: a foul thing, a detestable thing, idolatry) in the sight of God. (V.19) “There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared (Strong’s Book #2165: be in a good frame of mind, rejoice, make glad, be merry) sumptuously (Strong’s #2988: luxuriously, splendidly, magnificently) every day: (V.20) “And there was a certain beggar (Strong’s #4434: begging, destitute of wealth, influence, position, honor) named Lazarus, which was laid (Strong’s #906: to throw or let go of a thing) at his gate (Strong’s #4440: a large gate of a palace), full of sores (Strong’s #1669: cause to ulcerate #1668: producing pus), (V.21) “And desiring (Strong’s #1937: to have a desire for, to long for) to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s (Strong’s #4145: wealthy, abounding in in material resources) table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.  (V.22) “And it came to pass, that the beggar, died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s (Strong’s #11: the son of Terah and the founder of the Jewish nation) bosom (Strong’s #2859: from the top: by analogy a bay) and the rich man also died, and was buried (Strong’s #2290: to celebrate funeral rites);”

(V.23) “And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments (Strong’s #931: torture, acute pains), and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.” (V.24) “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented (Strong’s #3600: to cause intense pain, to be in anguish) in this flame (Strong’s #5395: a blaze).” (V.25) “But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” (V.26) “And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they that would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.” (V.27) “Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:” (V.28) “For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come to this place of torment.” (V.29) “Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.” (V.30) “And he said, Nay father Abraham: but if one went to them from the dead, they will repent.” (V.31) And he said unto him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

Also: The rich man (V.23) could see, (V.24) talk, taste, feel, touch, (V.25) hear, (V.26) knowledge that he was trapped in hell, (V.27) pray, (V.28) memory, love for his five brothers, (V.30) make an argument based on reason. (V.31) and was told that they were just like him; idolaters (Strong’s #1496: a worshipper of false gods, a covetous man as a worshipper of Mammon), Jesus said; (Luke 16:13) “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon (Strong’s #3126: wealth, avarice).” Avarice is defined: extreme greed for wealth or material gain.

On this Church, please draw your own conclusions! I asked the internet if the Church of Christ taught, preached and practiced you had to be baptized before you could be saved? The answer was yes and the scripture (Acts 2:38) was given The Church of Christ teaches and preaches that if you (Acts 2:36-38) (V.36) “Therefore let all the house of Israel assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.” (V.37) “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” (V.38) “Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Strong’s #4151: the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal with the Father and the Son).” THE CHURCH OF CHRIST TEACHES, PREACHES, AND PRACTICES THAT A PERSON MUST BE BAPTIZED BEFORE THEY CAN RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT! (Acts 2:40-41) (V.40) “And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.” (V.41) “Then they that gladly received (Strong’s #588: to accept from) his word were baptized: and the same day were added unto them about three thousand souls.”

SO: (Acts 8:1-4) NOTE: (V.1 keyword: consenting Strong’s #4909: to approve together with others) Saul had voted to have Stephen stoned to death and (V.3) made havoc (Strong’s #3075: to treat shamefully or with injury, to ravage, devastate, ruin) of the Christian church at Jerusalem (V.4) and the Christians who escaped being imprisoned were scattered abroad. END OF NOTE. (Acts 9:1-18) (V.1-2) (V.1) “And Saul (internet info: Saul in Hebrew and called Paul in Greek) breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord (Strong’s #2962: he to whom a person belongs) went to the high priest,” (V.2) “And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound (Strong’s #1210: to bind, fasten with chains) unto Jerusalem.

 (Acts 9:3-6) (V.3) “And as he journeyed, He came near Damascus and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:” (V.4) “And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest (Strong’s #1377: to make to run or flee, put to flight, drive away) thou me?” (V5) “And he said, Who art thou, Lord?” “And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:” (V.6) “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?” Saul had accepted Jesus as his Lord! SO: (2Cor. 5:17) “Therefore if any man (Strong’s1536: whoever) be in Christ, he is a new creature (Strong’s #2937: creation): old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” (1Pet. 1:23) “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” Do you remember above? (John 1:1-2 & 14) Jesus is the living Word of God! Saul was born again right there because everything about him had changed from persecuting the Jesus followers to being obedient to his Lord Jesus!

(Acts 9:7-9) (V.7) “And the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.” (V.8) “And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him to Damascus. (V.9) “And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.” (V.10-18) NOTE: These scriptures tell how a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias saw the Lord in a vision and the Lord told him of Saul’s location and to go lay his hands on Saul so he could receive his sight but Ananias was afraid because of Saul’s reputation for persecuting the saints at Jerusalem. But Jesus assured him Jesus had given Saul a vision that Ananias would come to him, lay hands on him, and he would receive his sight because Saul (V.9) was fasting and (V.11) praying (V.15) and that Saul was a chosen vessel to carry God’s word to the Gentiles, kings and the children of Israel. (V.16) “For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” (17) “And Ananias went his way, and entered the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother (Strong’s #80: a fellow believer) Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightiest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.” (V.18) “And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales:  and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.” Look at the order of events #1) Saul became a believer, #2) Ananias called Saul Brother, (Strong’s #80: a fellow believer) #3) Saul was healed and received his sight, #4) Saul was filled with the Holy Ghost #5) and Saul was baptized. Five is accepted as the number representing grace.

NOTE: (Acts 10:1-48) I will not bore you with a bunch of scripture and definitions except where it is absolutely needed to give precise understanding with direct quotes of the scripture. You can read it for yourself. (V.1-8) Cornelius a centurion (a century is 100) was in charge of 100 soldiers called the Italian band was a devout man who gave alms to the Jews and he prayed to God continually. An angel visited him in a vision and was told to send for Simon Peter. He did. (V.9-16) Simon Peter was having his own vision. (V.18-23) The men from Cornelius arrived and Simon Peter let them spend the night which was a violation of Jewish Law to have gentiles in their house. Personally, I love that because a person should obey God and not man.

(Acts 10:24-33) Simon Peter (Acts 11:12 keywords: six brethren) and his 6 brethren and Cornelius were introduced to each other and Cornelius had many kinsmen and friends there in his house and wanted to “hear all things that are commanded thee of God.” (V.34-43) Simon Peter started preaching Jesus and His purpose. (V.43) Verbatim: “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”  (V.44) “While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost (the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal, with the Father and the Son) fell on them which heard the word.” (V.45) “And they of the circumcision (Strong’s #4061: “they of the circumcision” is a term used of the Jews) which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles (Strong’s #1484: from #1486: a foreign one, non-Jewish) also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost (the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal, with the Father and the Son).” (V.46) “For they heard them speak with tongues (Strong’s #1100: a language naturally unacquired), and magnify God. Then answered Peter,” (V.47) “Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost (the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal, with the Father and the Son) as well as (Strong’s #2531: according as, just as) we?” (V.48) “And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.” These people had scripturally obtained the Holy Ghost (the third person of the triune God, the Holy Spirit, coequal, coeternal, with the Father and the Son) before they were baptized! PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: I was saved at home and the only way I could know it was real was because the Holy Spirit came into me and I knew I was changed, my sin burden was gone, my lostness was gone and I have never felt so loved in my life. BACK TO THE CHURCH OF CHRIST

TRUE STORY: I awakened one morning with an aching, burning, Holy Spirit burden to go see a fellow soldier in the VA Hospital at Huntington, W VA about 60 miles away. I had been through a PTSD class at a local VA Hospital where some of the veterans had accepted Jesus as their Saviour because I gave my Bible Based testimony to our group at every meeting and he had heard all of that. No, I did not know what was happening but the Holy Spirit did and that was just fine; “Gotta go Baby; God willing, I’ll eat when I get back.” It is all up to God anyway! When I got there the nurse in charge of the ward told me my friend Joe, a Vietnam hero, was dying. I hurried to his room and his cancer shrunken, wasted body was heaving with great sobs and tears had actually made wet spots on the pillow on each side of his head!

I took his hand; he opened his eyes and I said; “Joe what in the world is going on?” His features twisted and he whispered hoarsely; “They was some Church of Christ people in here. I told ‘em I wanted to get saved but their preacher said I couldn’t get saved because the hospital said I couldn’t be moved to get baptized!” “Joe that is a lie! I flipped my KJV Holy Bible open to (Luke 23:40-46) and read it to him. (V.42) “And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.” “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.” “And Jesus died three hours later.” “See Joe, they didn’t stop the crucifixion to baptize the repentant man on the cross beside Jesus but Jesus saved him ANYWAY!” “Help me Jim, help me pray.” “Joe, do you want Jesus to save you with all of your heart?” “Oh God, oh God, I want it so bad I can taste it!” I led Joe in his prayer a few words at a time so he could repeat them. I just now had to get up from the computer and walk around our living room with tears in my eyes as I remembered and re-felt the spiritual jar when Joe’s scrawny, wasted, frail body faintly jerked and his raspy whisper voice rasped as loud as his cancer destroyed body would let him; “JESUS SAVED ME! I’M SAVED JIM! I’M SAVED! I’M SAVED!” Tears were still pouring but they were TEARS OF JOY THAT ONLY JESUS CAN BRING!”

“Jim bend down here so I can hug you.” I bent down real close and lifted his arm and held it on my shoulder and the edge of my neck so he could hug me, he didn’t have the strength to pull or squeeze my neck but it was the best hug I have ever had and I hugged him back the best I could without moving his tortured body. I’m crying now because of Jesus’ (Psa. 145:8) graciousness & compassion, (James 5:11) pity and tender mercy, (2Cor. 10:1) meekness and gentleness, (1John 4:8 & 16) His God love that cannot be measured because it is infinite. Thank YOU, beautiful God of all glory, for your ‘Amazing Grace’ that saves ‘wretches’ like us! END OF STORY.

I asked the internet; “Does the Church of Christ practice that you are not saved until you are baptized? The answer came up in bold lettering; One is not saved before he is baptized. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LOOK THAT UP BECAUSE THERE IS A LOT OF INFORMATION CONCERNING THAT SUBJECT!!! And ask Wikipedia about the Churches of Christ.

NOTE: It was in the middle of the night, 12:36 to be exact, the thought came to check out the atheist churches. It flashed through me like lightening; “WHAT? ATHEIST CHURCHES!” Do you think it was the Holy Spirit? I already know. I asked the internet; “What is an atheist church” and an article by Jacqui Frost, Jan. 19, 2024, came up; Church without God: How secular congregations fill a need for some nonreligious Americans and I was shocked. I will record some very brief statements from the article. The underlining and the in-article quotation marks are the authors BUT I am adding quotation marks at the beginning and ending of articles to show I am quoting the remarks verbatim.  I advise you to read the WHOLE ARTICLE and I pray you will be as shocked as I was. END OF NOTE.

#1) “Secular congregations often mimic religious organizations by using the language and structure of a “church,” such as meeting on Sundays or hearing a member’s “testimony,” or by adapting religious language or practices in other ways.”

#2) “There are also secular organizations that promote that people can live forever, such as the Church of Perpetual Life. Members believe they can achieve immortality on Earth through radical life-extension such as gene editing or cryonic preservation – freezing bodies after death in hopes that they can someday be resuscitated and the disease that killed them has been eradicated.”

 #3) “However, “atheist church” organizations like the Sunday Assembly and the Oasis explicitly celebrate atheists’ identities and beliefs, even though not everyone who attends identifies as an atheist. Testimonies and activities extol values like rational thinking and materialistic philosophies, which promote the idea that only physical matter exists.”

#4) “There are also long-standing humanist and ethical communities that promote secular worldviews and provide secular ceremonies for major life transitions, like births, funerals and weddings. The American Humanist Association, for example, describes its values as “Good Without a God.” And for decades, Unitarian Universalist congregations, which grew out of Christian movements, have drawn on teachings from both religious and non-religious traditions, without imposing creeds of their own.”

#5) “Some atheist communities, although not Sunday Assembly, even engage in “debaptism” ceremonies in which they renounce their former religion. Some atheists I interviewed sent their debaptism certificates to their former churches as a way of solidifying their new nonreligious identity.”

Unitarian Universalism

I asked the internet; What is the Unitarian Universalist Church? The statement that came up read; “Unitarian Universalism is a liberal religious movement characterized by a “free and responsible search for truth and meaning” It is a religion that embraces atheists, agnostics, Buddhists, Christians, and members of all other faiths. Unitarian Universalists assert no creed, but instead are unified in their search for spiritual growth. The religion was formed from the consolidation of two religions: Unitarianism and Universalism. The Unitarian Universalist Association is an organization of over 1,000 liberal religious congregations in the United States.” I did not ask Wikipedia about this Church because I knew I would face another elephant rupturing load of information. What you have read is enough for you decide if God accepts Unitarian Universalism as a Biblical Church.

“The International Church of Cannabis located in Denver that uses cannabis as a sacrament. Members claim the use of cannabis helps elevate people to a higher understanding of self.” Beliefs: “Members of the international Church of Cannabis are known as Elevationists. They ritually use “the sacred flower” of cannabis to accelerate and deepen self-discovery. A member is considered awakened when their cannabis experience becomes transcendental in nature. Elevationism claims no divine law and no unquestionable doctrine; it adheres to no specific dogma while following the Golden Rule. Legal status: the religious nonprofit organization behind the church was formerly established in Colorado in September 2016. You can read all of this article on the internet. Read the article; Increased Christianity in schools opens the door to Satanic Temple education programs.

#2) “The group, launched in 2013 to battle the “intrusion of Christian values on American politics,” recently began a religious release program in an Ohio school district and plans to expand to a district in Tennessee soon.”

Church of Satan Written by J Gordon Melton Fact checked by the Editors of Encyclopedia Britannica Article History. “Church of Satan, counterculture group founded in the United States in the 1960s by Anton Szandor LaVey (1930—1997), born Howard Stanton Levey. Contrary to its name, the church did not promote “evil” but rather humanistic values.” NOTE: When you think about it (Gen. 3:1-7) that is the exact concept Satan used on Eve and Adam; paraphrased: “Do it your own way for enlightenment.”

DO YOU REMEMBER? Jesus said; (Matt. 15:7-9) (V.7) “Ye hypocrites (Strong’s #5273: from 5271: an actor under an assumed character, stage player, a dissembler), well did Esaias (Strong’s #2268: Isaiah) prophesy of you, saying,” (V.8) “This people draweth nigh (Strong’s #1448: to bring near, to join one thing to another) unto me with their mouth, and honoreth (Strong’s #5091: to estimate, fix the value) me with their lips; but their heart (Strong’s #2588: from the top: the thoughts or feelings, mind, soul) is far from me.” (V.9) “But in vain they do worship me, teaching (Strong’s #1321: to hold discourse with others in order to instruct them) for doctrines (Strong’s #1319: instruction) the commandments (Strong’s #1778: from 1781: an injunction, religious precept) of men (Strong’s #444: a human being whether male or female).” NOTE. This is what Jesus says concerning #1) Satan, the devil’s, churches in the above paragraph, #2) the man-made abomination churches and #3) the apostate churches END OF NOTE.

THE FUTURE

(Rev. 20:10-15) (V.10) “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (V.11) “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.” (V.12) “And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (V13) “And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man (Strong’s #1538: from the top: man, woman, every one) according to their works.” (V.14) “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” (V.15) “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”

(Rev. 21:3-4) (V.3) “And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold the tabernacle of God is with men (Strong’s #444: a human being whether male or female), and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.” (V.4) “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”

NOTE: The statement 2nd paragraph above; “the books were opened” is a plural statement and my Bible has 66 books which (John 14:23-27 esp. V.26 keyword: teach), through the teaching and guidance of the Holy Spirit, gives me everything I need to know to please God and Jesus. AND the statement “And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.” tells me the people who go there will be on the agonized cusp of the sting of death and will be that way forever but cannot get the dying done to escape and Satan, the devil, is a spirit creature that cannot burn and he will be in there with them to torment them eternally and part of his punishment will be that he can see the people in the joy and safety of heaven in the presence of God and he cannot do anything about it!
