You: I am making YOU this promise; If you as a Christian will read every article on this commentary with a hungry, willing soul you will be changed from where you are to a much closer relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit.

NOTE: The first part of this introduction makes this commentary sound a bit ‘teachy’ and it is but it also reveals the kind, loving, intimate, personal relationship God desires to develop with (Rom. 8:15-17) His Christian  family. Near the end is a guide, with small summaries, to some of the articles that contain true personal stories that will reveal God’s personality as He is (Rom. 8:9) and how He relates to people. “END OF NOTE:

The objective of this commentary is:

  • To recognize the evidence of the Holy Spirit in a Christian life;
  • To discern the manifestation of the Holy Spirit in a Christian life;
  • To understand what the Holy Spirit does in a Christian life;
  • To know the Holy Spirit.

I do not judge or criticize  people for who they are, or what they do and (Acts 17:26) racism is a sin. (Rom. 8:6-17 & Eph. 2:11-19) I consider all Christians to be my blood-kin brothers and sisters (Jesus’ blood). I do not follow a denominational dogmatic theology. I was in a denomination but when they started telling me what I could or could not write I took my name off their membership book. Yes, I do attend a church regularly but they understand this website is ‘hands off’. (Rev. 20:10-15) God’s book is the only book that counts. God’s inspiration and revelation is the source of this writing. God is the Author of this website and I am simply the fingers which He uses. My job is to show people the scriptural way to heaven to be with Jesus. You can read about that struggle in the article About the Writer listed at the top with the commentary titles.

These five notes, though rather dry reading, are necessary to “set the stage” for the rest of this commentary. The unrevised KING JAMES Holy Bible is the reference used.

NOTE #1: (1Cor. 12:10) The discerning (to separate thoroughly) of spirits is a gift. (1Cor. 12:31) We are told to “covet earnestly the best gifts” and that puts the burden of responsibility squarely on Christians to know the Holy Spirit. In my experience I have found a very few Christians who pray and struggle to recognize the devil and they should but most Christians hardly ever pray for and struggle to recognize the Holy Spirit. EXAMPLE: If you have not read it please click on the HOME page and please, please read the article sub-titled THE CHURCH IN AMERICA: STATISTICS near the end of the Introduction to this website and you will be shocked!

God does not cram knowledge into our unwilling brain; we must study. What do you really know about the Holy Spirit? (Rom. 8:9) “if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ he is none of his.” The indwelling Holy Spirit is the only way we can know we are a Christian.

For your own security and peace of mind concerning your salvation it is imperative for you to recognize the Holy Spirit’s work in your Christian life. (John 14:16-26) This commentary will show you how the Holy Spirit is attempting to work, uncultivated, unrecognized and misunderstood, in every aspect of your life. (Rev. 3:14-16 keyword: lukewarm) Through the failure in personal responsibility to know the Holy Spirit a Christian can be “lukewarm” (Rom. 1:18-28 esp. V.21 keywords: when they knew God, Heb. 6:4-6 & Rev. 2:2-5) or worse and not even know it. BECAUSE:

(1Pet. 5:8) “Be sober (abstain, watch), be vigilant (give strict attention to, watch); because your adversary (Satan as the arch-enemy) the devil (Satan the prince of demons, the author of evil, estranging mankind from God, enticing them to sin), as a roaring lion (an active predator) walketh about (walk at large), seeking whom he may devour (gulp entire):” (please, please read this whole scripture->Eph. 6:10-18 esp. V.11-12) “Put on (to clothe one’s self) the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand (be kept intact) against the wiles (deceit, craft, trickery) of the devil.” (V.12) “For we wrestle (a struggle to defeat the other) not against flesh and blood, but against principalities (the beginning- explained in Gen. 3:1-24 esp. V.14 & Rev. 12:7-9), against powers (force, capacity), against the rulers (the devil and his demons- Rev. 12:4- fallen angels) of darkness (obscurity) of this world, against spiritual (demonically) wickedness (depravity, malice, plots) in high places.” HOW:

(2Cor. 4:4) “In whom the god of this world hath blinded (to obscure, darken the mind) the minds of them which believe not (heathen, infidel), lest the light (the act of enlightening) of the glorious (honor, praise, worship) gospel ( defined: Strong’s #2098: a good message) of Christ (Messiah, the Son of God), who is the image of God, should shine (to beam forth) unto them (all people:-> explained in John 3:14-19 esp. V.16).” AND:

(2Cor. 11:13-15) “For such (of this sort) are false (defined: Strong’s Book #5571-74: untrue, erroneous, to deceive by falsehood, a liar, bearer of untrue testimony) apostles (ambassadors), deceitful (guileful) workers (teachers) transforming themselves (to change the figure of) into the apostles of Christ.” (V.13) “And no marvel (wonderful, marvelous); for Satan (adversary, prince of evil spirits) himself is transformed (same definition) into an angel (a messenger, one who is sent) of light (to shine or make manifest).” (V.15) “Therefore it is no great thing (the external form or sensible appearance of things) if his ministers (one who executes the commands of another) also be transformed (same definition) as the ministers (same definition) of righteousness (state of him who is as he ought to be); whose end (termination) shall be according (down from, through out) to their works (toil, act, deed).”

If this has frightened you I am sorry. If you have decided to read no further AT LEAST TAKE THIS MUCH WITH YOU and do what this scripture says. (Matt. 11: 29-30) Jesus said; “Take (to elevate) my (me) yoke (a coupling- denoting a double yoke, a law or obligation, ALSO the center, the balance point of a pair of scales) upon you and learn (in any way increase knowledge, to hear, to learn by use and practice, make it a habit) of (separate from anything that destroys a union of two) me; for (because) I am meek (gentle, humble) and lowly (humble, as a condition) in heart (figuratively the feelings, the thoughts, soul, mind): and ye shall find (obtain, perceive, see) rest unto your souls (the seat of feelings, desires, the inward man, self, the immortal person,).” (V.30) “For my yoke is easy (fit for use, virtuous, manageable), my burden (task, service) is light (easy).

Take: (John 12:32 keyword: draw) When you think about Jesus, life, hell, heaven, going to church, your own life, etc. that is Jesus drawing you toward Him for salvation (Rom. 8:6-17 esp. V.15-17) and He wants to save you and elevate you to become a member of God’s own personal family. (Rom. 10:8-13 esp. V.9 & 11 keywords: believe/believeth defined: to believe the truth of God’s Holy Word, to trust Jesus for your salvation, to trust Jesus with the rest of your life) <-In this scripture Jesus tells you us how to repent and achieve that salvation.

Yoke: (John 14:15-17, 20-21 & 23, Rom. 8:6-9 & Eph. 1:13-14) When a person is saved (John 3:3 & 5, 2Cor. 17-18 keyword: creature: defined: creation then 1Pet. 1:23) the Holy Spirit (John 14:23) enters them and they are yoked together with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. AND: The balance beam of your life that had been tilted down to sin has been brought back to center balance because your past sins (Heb. 8:12) are gone and you have the obligation to learn how to be a Christian in your new relationship with Jesus.

Jesus describes Himself as gentle and humble and that the condition is that you learn to be like Jesus the same way and you can obtain, perceive and see that you have immortality with Jesus in heaven. (Phil. 2:5-12 esp. V.5) “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” (John 14:1-13 esp. V.7-9 & 15) God/Jesus wants a personal relationship of love with you, me & all Christians. (John 3:14-19) “For God so loved the world (all people) he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish. but have everlasting life.” (Mark 12:30) “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” God/Jesus wants a personal, one-on-one love relationship with each Christian.

And like any (Prov. 18:24 & John 15:14-15) friendship, you meet someone and build a friendship relationship a little at a time and you change each other if the friendship is to endure. Jesus is perfect in every way so it must be the new Christian (take my yoke upon you) who must do the changing (and learn of me) to gain (Heb. 2:9-11) immortality with Jesus.

(Ex. 23:30 keywords: By little and little I will drive them out before thee, until thou be increased and inherit the land) Joshua leading Israel into the promised land is a perfect physical example (prophesy) of the gradual spiritual Christian growth in their relationship with God. You crossed your spiritual Jordan into the promised land (salvation) and you are in a spiritual war with self (human nature with its frailties and passions), the world (government, society and schools) and the devil (explained above).

ABOVE YOU HAVE READ ABOUT THE WAR FOR YOUR IMMORTAL SOUL BETWEEN (1JOHN 4:8 & 16) THE GOD OF LOVE (JOHN 14:6-9) THE GIVER OF LIFE AND TRUTH (2COR. 4:4 & 11:14) and THE COUNTERFEIT GOD OF THIS WORLD (JOHN 8:44) WHO IS A LIAR AND MURDERER. (MATT. 6:24 & 7:13-14) YOU DO HAVE A CHOICE.

I will make you this guarantee if you continue reading this commentary. As you learn, you will draw closer and closer to Jesus as you build your relationship AND occasionally you will be able to ask your preacher some questions he probably cannot answer and they will shock him such as “What seven things were revealed on Calvary that has never been taught?” OR “What is God’s identity and how can we, male and female, possibly be made in God’s image”? OR “What is the true Biblical reality of the three-part Biblical definition of Grace?” OR “What is Satan’s true identity, method of operation and how do we defeat him?” <-Revealed in the three-part article Satan: A Study Guide and Teaching Manual.

NOTE #2: Ignorance defined by scripture:

(1Tim. 1:13) #1 Legitimate Ignorance is the state of being unaware of certain scriptural information or being misled concerning certain information, but willing to learn.

(2Pet. 3:5) #2 Willful Ignorance is the state of being too proud or too stubborn to accept certain scriptural information.

(1Cor. 14:38) #3 Neglectful Ignorance is being proud, selfish, lazy, uncaring, or unwilling to accept or to obtain certain scriptural information.

(Eph. 4:17-19 & 1Pet. 1:13-14) #4 Lustful Ignorance is disregarding certain scriptural information due to hunger for sensation, emotional gratification, and appetite for the forbidden thing regardless of the cost, regardless of the consequences one thinks might come later, or regardless of the consequences one knows will come later.

According to those scriptures given we, as Christians, will be held accountable for our ignorance. The Holy Scripture, the scripture, (John 1:1-4 & 14 and 1John 1:1-4 keyword in both: Word) the Word of God, and the Word are interchangeable words throughout scripture that all mean the same thing which is defined (Strong’s w #3056: something said, the thought, the reasoning, the motive of God, the Divine Expression i. e. Christ) and i. e. is defined: the same as, the same thing expressed another way. Sometimes Bible, Holy Bible or scripture is also used to denote (the Word) in this commentary. This study will require your full attention.

NOTE #3: (Prov. 2:1-12) Sometimes it is necessary to use a Greek and Hebrew to English Dictionary when one desires full understanding of a word. (2Tim. 2:2 & 24 keyword: teach and 4:2 keyword: preach) Paul told Timothy what to teach and preach and he told Timothy to tell us; (2Tim. 2:15) “Study (to make effort, be diligent, labor) to show thyself approved (acceptable, tried) unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing (dissect correctly the divine message) the word of truth.”

Dissect defined is (to examine in the smallest detail). Obviously rightly dividing God’s word of truth is a requirement and an ongoing trial for Christians. That makes sense because when we refuse to study all God hears us say is; (Matt. 11:29 keyword: learn) “No God, I don’t want to know you better!

How are we going to rightly divide God’s word of truth if we don’t even know the definition of words? (John 19:19-20) The three dominant languages used in Roman dominated Israel were Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.

Generally the original Old Testament texts were written in Hebrew and the original New Testament texts were written in Koinie Greek (common, not a dialect or classical: Koinie is considered a derivative of the Greek word Koinonia which is defined: fellowship, partnership, a fellowship in the Spirit) which is very sensible because the more common people with lesser education could also understand what was written (1Cor. 1:4-15 esp. V.9 keyword: fellowship & 3:1-9 esp. V.1 keyword: babes & V. 3 keywords: ye are yet carnal =the origin of denominationalism) and Christians are supposed to be in fellowship; see the article GRACE on this commentary for an example of non-grace and non-fellowship! Later the Holy Scriptures were translated into other languages.

People use a dictionary of their native language if they desire to know the definition of a word. SO: It is a common sense approach to use a Hebrew or Greek dictionary when one desires to know exactly what an English Bible word means. This does not “change” the wording of the Bible as many people fear; it merely illuminates and expands our understanding.

KJV w/ Strong’s Concordance is a very good Biblical concordance for giving definitions for a whole chapter at one time which is free on the internet. Strong’s concordance (a different book) gives definitions one word at a time if that is all you need. Just type the name in on the internet and you can view and use the book for free. Yes, there will be advertisements to sell copies of the books if you wish to have your own.

In this commentary definitions are in parenthesis at the end of the defined word. All effort has been made to write this commentary, on a complex subject, in an easy read format because your eternal life will depend upon your ability to understand what is written in God’s word.

If you pray and earnestly seek God’s guidance, if you pray and honestly desire to have a closer walk with God and if you pray and need God to reveal Himself to you; this commentary will change you forever.

NOTE #4: (2Tim.3:12-13) American culture, secular America, due to political and social correctness, is becoming more anti-Christian. (2Tim. 3:1-7 esp. V.5 keyword; power) The Church, meaning everything that considers itself Christian, grouped together, is becoming more anti-Holy Spirit. (2Tim 4:3-4) Some denominations, congregations and individual Christians are becoming more anti-Holy Word of God.

NOTE #5: (PROV. 18:4, JOHN 15:14 & REV. 21:1-4) THE FINAL OBJECTIVE OF GOD’S AGENDA WITH THE CHURCH IS TO DEVELOP A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP OF LOVE BETWEEN GOD/JESUS AND WILLING INDIVIDUAL CHRISTIANS AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN SAVED. THE STORY, ABOUT THE WRITER, LISTED AT THE TOP IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF THIS ‘WORK IN PROGRESS’ OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH AFTER SALVATION.

This commentary concerns Christians. (1John 4:1) We, as Christians, must understand the Holy Spirit’s part in achieving God’s final objective in His creation purpose because we, individual Christians, will be judged for our part in the achievement of that objective.

(Eph. 3:7-19) It is terrible that so many Christians do not comprehend God’s final objective in His creation purpose. Although written in a semi-story style; certain reference scriptures are unobtrusively inserted into the text for reference if desired.

It is better to read straight through a section of this commentary so you won’t lose the story line then come back and reference read the same section again if you wish to do an in-depth study. When you study using the references the section automatically becomes a Biblical study guide. This information will require your concentration.

GUIDE TO SOME OF THE STORIES

This commentary also contains several real-life events, true, stories I, the writer, have experienced that any Christian should enjoy. They are included in informational articles or sometimes the stories are the complete article SUCH AS: WHERE IS THE HOLY SPIRIT Part 2 The LIGHT which is an incredible true story about the spiritual knuckle and skull, last stand spiritual war a young woman fought for the soul of her Father. A part of the article THE HOLY SPIRIT CAN BE BLASPHEMED contains a story of my dear friend JR who blasphemed the Holy Spirit and met the consequences of his actions head on.

The last part of the article CHOSEN VESSELS contains the story of THE HAT and how it silently talks to socially isolated veterans. Part 2 of CHOSEN VESSELS: Old Walter: A CHOSEN VESSEL is the story of the great wonder God accomplished in the lives of an old drunkard and eight little boys. It is a vivid, Holy Spirit anointed story that shows how far God can and will reach into the degradation of a human life and rescue someone who is willing to call upon Him.

Part one and Part two of the article I HAVE EXPERIENCED CHRISTIAN PHYSICAL DEATH scripturally reveals how God’s grace and mercy extend far beyond what the vast majority of Christians believe. Part 1 is wonderfully beautiful to me personally because there were the two scripturally required witnesses; one was an EMT and the other was a mortician!

Part 2 of I HAVE EXPERIENCED CHRISTIAN PHYSICAL DEATH scripturally reveals how God installed it at creation in every human who will ever live but He only ‘triggers’ it for Christians. It also contains several things you have probably never heard in church such as God’s true identity and how we, you, me and all, are made in God’s image, why God gave mankind the freedom to choose and it completely explores the three curses God placed on mankind from Eden and God’s poetic answer to them!

The article THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TRUTH contains the awful story of our dear, dear friend to three generations of my family who refused (John 6:44) the drawing of God and suffered the consequences. It is very good for witnessing to your lost friends! I have actually seen a hard-case person shout after she read it; “I ain’t gonna let that happen to me!” She started going to church, accepted Jesus as Saviour and has lived a beautiful Christian life for the last fifteen years. She was/is a health care supervisor, my wife’s friend and people were amazed at the transformation after her salvation event.

THE HOLY SPIRIT IS TRUTH Part two: Jesus, My Daddy And Me is the story of my hard case, dries on the rough side of the towel Daddy and me and our twenty-one year war for his soul. I still had water running out of my clothes from my baptism when Daddy confronted me and started the war.

MAN’S CONSCIENCE contains the story of two people who felt they never could get saved; the woman even threw me out of their house and; well, you’ll just have to read it because it is absolutely amazing and there is no explanation except the God I serve is so much more than really special, more than really unique. He is the Lord of all lords, the King of all kings, the God of all gods, (1John 4:8 & 16) He is love itself and there is none other like Him.

The article WHEN IS HOLY SPIRIT TIME contains the amazing story of a man whom the devil had convinced my congregation was a cult and had his wife in some type of bondage. He came from another state to our church with violence on his mind to rescue her but had a head-on collision with a group of small children and the Holy Spirit.

This story happened in another church and was told to me by that pastor but it is too good not to share with you. CHRISTIAN WAR WITH THE FLESH contains the story of a wild living, skating on the thin edge of lawlessness, “good ole boy” type who got saved, got up from the altar, started testifying about Jesus saving him, then started telling how the devil had made such a fool of him for years, lost his temper, cursed the devil ’til a fly wouldn’t light on him’ right there in church, realized what he’d done, he ran out the door, jumped in his car and roared away. And how a kindly, loving pastor handled that situation.
