Each religion believes in monotheism (one God). But each religion’s concept of that one God differs from the other two. The following definitions are from the internet. Rituals- a religious ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order. Behaviors- the way in which one acts or conducts oneself, especially toward or in front of others.
In their order of founding: The Jewish Torah- the first five books of the Bible- (the law of God as given to Moses) developed the identity of Judaism (the religion of the Jews) and the Christian Holy Bible- both testaments- (defined: the revelations of God) developed the identity of Christianity (the religion based on the person and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth) and Islam’s Koran (defined: the Islamic sacred book recited by Mohammad and written by subordinates) developed the identity of Islam whose adherents are called Muslims (the religion founded by Mohammad).
It is an odd parallel that all three religions claim some of the same prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Isaiah, David and Solomon. They all three claim blood kin relationship with men of Abraham’s bloodline; Judaism a physical bloodline thru Abraham’s son Isaac, (Gal. 3:16-29 esp. V.29) Christianity a spiritual bloodline thru the blood of Abraham’s descendant Jesus and Islam a physical bloodline thru Abraham’s son Ishmael. They all three claim God’s covenant with Abraham as the origin of their covenant with God.
Judaism claims their covenant was given by God to Abraham, (Gen 17:19 & 26:3) then to Abraham’s legitimate son Isaac, then to Isaac’s son Jacob whom God named Israel, then right own down through the generations of Jews until time ends. Various Jewish rabbis wrote their opinions concerning what God had said in their Torah and it became the Talmud which guided Judaism’s list of rituals and their list of behaviors which was and sometimes still is the basis of their worship practices, religious law, their life activities and living standards. (Matt. 15:1-9) Jesus condemned them as being “traditions” of men.
The New Testament of the Christian Bible starts with four books which record Jesus’ life, ministry, miracles and words which are then explained by various Christian authors (apostles) in the rest of the New Testament books which established Christianity’s list of rituals and their list of behaviors which guides Christian worship practices, life activities and living standards. BUT ALSO, (Eph. 2:8-14) ACCORDING TO THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE, (Heb. 8:6 & 13) THE NEW GRACE COVENANT OFFERS SOMETHING NO OTHER RELIGION OFFERS:
(Acts 2:1-18 & 9:15 then Rom. 8:6-17) Each true Christian, Jew or Gentile (a person of non-Jewish physical bloodline), also have a direct, permanent, personal relationship with God through the indwelling Holy Spirit in their souls (John 3:3 & 1Pet 1:23 keywords: born again) when they experience the spiritual born again salvation event (2Cor. 5:17) in which each new Christian becomes a new creature (creation) in Jesus Christ when they repent of their sins, accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour, then they are accepted by God. (John 14:15-23 esp. V.20 & 23, 15:4-6, 17:20-21 & Eph. 1:12-14, and 2:22) It is a one on one, individual, personal relationship with God through the Holy Spirit! I, the writer, have experienced that beautiful, life-altering spiritual event and it is real; see the article About the Writer on this website.
(1Cor. 1:10-13 & 3:1-17) Over time men wrote, taught and preached their opinions of what various scriptures meant and that split the church into the various sects and denominations you see today (2Cor. 11:13 and 15) and it is scripturally correct that some of them are ministers led by Satan who have an assumed righteousness that is scripturally wrong and “their end shall be according to their works.”
Mohammad’s “revelations” in his basic words were rather terse, vague and open to interpretation in their formulation. Later, various Islamic scholars interpreted what they concluded Mohammad’s actions, revelations and words had meant and wrote their opinions in articles known as ahadiths (plural of hadith) that were and are incorporated into the Koran which guides Islam’s list of rituals and its list of behaviors.
These “traditions” are included in defining the Muslim “acceptance of God”, method, worship practices, religious law (sharia: defined: law, seen as deriving from the Koran, hadith, ijma and giyas- which are the four sources of Islamic jurisprudence), their life activities and living standards.
DIVISIONS WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL RELIGIONS
Judaism: The Torah and Talmud are the literary works recognized by all Jews. The unified twelve tribes of the Jewish nation named Israel divided into the northern kingdom named Israel and the southern kingdom named Judah. (2Ki. 17:14-24) The northern kingdom (Israel) was destroyed by the Assyrians because of their sins and its survivors were relocated into various provinces in the Assyrian Kingdom (Middle East). (Luke 19:41-44 key: Jesus prophesied that Judah would fall because they had rejected Him) The southern kingdom (Judah) (common history) was destroyed by the Romans and its survivors were relocated into various nations in the Roman Empire (Southern Europe). On the Roman maps the name Israel was erased (Isa. 14:29-31) and renamed Palestine just as had been prophesied.
(Isa. 66:8-11 esp. V.8 keywords: shall a nation be born at once) (May 14, 1948 https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/state-of-Israel-proclaimed: “In an afternoon ceremony at the Tel Aviv Art Museum David Ben-Gurion stated; “We hereby proclaim the establishment of the Jewish State in Palestine.” It was God’s prophesied “at once” moment)
As an indirect political result of WW2 Israel was once again made a nation when the victors of WW2 set aside a part of Palestine, named it Israel and the Jewish survivors of WW2 who so desired were permitted to return to their ancient homeland exactly on God’s spiritual timetable. In time Jews had emigrated all over the world and now, 12-22-17, the Jewish faith in Israel and many other nations stretches across the spectrum of “in name only” to orthodox faith. In their diaspora the Jews have lost possession of their temple mount in Jerusalem and their central temple on that mount is gone.
The main divisions in the modern practicing Jewish faith are Reform, Conservative and Orthodox. Hasidism and Kabbalah are mystic approaches to Judaism emphasizing inward, spiritual experiences over intellectual and rational knowledge. Reform Judaism is the most liberal sect of Judaism. Conservative Judaism (Masorti) is a moderate sect that distances itself from the extremes of both Reform and Orthodox Judaism. Orthodox Judaism is the strictest, most traditional form of Judaism. A person is recognized as a true Jew by direct bloodline descent beginning with Abraham.
A righteous proselyte, a Gentile (non-Jewish bloodline) who has converted to Judaism, is bound by all the doctrines and precepts of the Jewish religion, submits to circumcision and immerses in mikvah (Jewish baptism) to formally effect the conversion (Matt. 23:15, Acts 2:10, 6:5 & 13:43) then the person is recognized as a proselyte Gentile worthy to worship God in the Judaism faith. See internet information concerning the court of the Gentiles in the Jewish temple (2Ki. 21:5 & 23:12, 1Chron. 23:28 & 28:6 and etc.) which is mentioned in the K.J. Bible. NEXT:
Christianity: The Holy Bible is the literary work recognized by all Christians was founded in Jerusalem (Acts 9:1-16 esp. V.15 keyword: Gentiles) and was spread by traveling evangelists into various Gentile nations. You can read how Jesus inspired the apostle Paul to write fourteen books of the New Testament and to found (start, to plant) churches all over the near east and extreme southern Europe. The main church center had moved from Jerusalem to Rome, Italy mainly by the preaching of the apostles Paul and Peter. SO:
When Judah and its capital Jerusalem were destroyed by the Roman Empire the Christian church center was in Rome and spreading throughout the Roman Empire in spite of sporadic governmental persecution under various Caesars (Emperors) such as Nero.
The Christian church was accepted as the state sponsored religion by Emperor Constantine. Eventually the ever-growing Christian church, now named the Holy Roman Church (Catholic- defined: Universal), split over doctrinal differences into the eastern branch (Byzantine) and the western branch (Roman Catholic). In hundreds of years of sporadic bloody warfare the Protestant Church separated from the Roman Catholic Church. Please read the three-article series that is the Introduction to the Sin in Church commentary if you wish to read the complete details.
The New Testament writings, (Acts 1:1 thru Rev. 22:21) written by the apostles, (Matt. 1:1 thru John 21:25) expounding Jesus’ mission and message, as set forth in the four Gospels of the NT, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, is the guide for the Protestant Christian experience.
Through time dynamic protestant leaders with diverse theological Biblical beliefs concerning rituals and behaviors split the Protestant Church into the denominations you see today. BUT the uniting factor of the true church given in the New Testament is that two events must take place in an individual’s life before that individual person can become a true Christian. No other religion offers these two events thus they separate Christianity from every other religion. They are:
#1) (John 3:3-8 esp. V.5 keyword: Spirit & 1Pet. 1:23) An individual must be born again spiritually through the Holy Spirit (Rom. 2:29) to supernaturally (2Cor. 5:17-21) become a new creature (creation) and when that happens #2) (Gal. 1:12-14) the individual is sealed (to attest ownership) with the indwelling Holy Spirit (John 14:15-23) who is identified as the Spirit (vital principal, mind, soul) of God (Rom. 8:9-17) and that individual becomes a child of God (Eph. 2:19-22) because he is a habitation of God through the Spirit.
An individual of any race or religion can become a Christian in a church of their choice after their born again event which will be discussed with a church authority (usually the Pastor) to examine the conformity of the event to New Testament scripture, their baptism and their willingness to accept that particular church or denomination’s requirements of service. NEXT:
Islam: It is obvious by his teachings that Mohammad had deeply, verbally researched the Jewish and Christian writings with Jews and Christians he had known and had incorporated information concerning them into the Koran because Islam claims Ishmael, (Gen. 17:1-21 & 21:1-21) Abraham’s illegitimate son by Hagar, as their bloodline connection to Abraham and Mohammad taught that Abraham gave God’s covenant to Ishmael.
One example of many is: See the softcover book: The Koran translated from the Arabic by J. M. Rodwell with the Foreword and Introduction by Alan Jones of the Oriental Institute, Oxford. See P.68, the last paragraph, beginning with the words; “Of old did God accept the covenant” and read to P.71 ending at the beginning of the paragraph starting with “40” “As to the infidels—-”.
The Koran and associated ahadiths are the literary works recognized by all Muslims. A hadith (report, account, narrative) is a report that describes the words, actions, or habits of the Prophet Mohammad. The hadith literature is based on spoken reports and stories that were in circulation after Mohammad’s death. They are not one single collection of documents such as the Jewish Talmud. The word ahadith is the plural of hadith and refers to different collections of hadith reports. Both Koran and associated ahadiths give a list of rituals and a list of behaviors. The Koran is the uniting factor that gives rise that all Muslims are brothers.
A sunnah is more like a biography of Mohammad’s life; his actions in certain circumstances, his approval or disapproval of an act, situation or saying by his actions or facial expressions. Abu Ibrahim in Islamic Learning Materials states; “Simply put the hadith explain the Sunnah (practice or tradition) of the Prophet Muhammad.”
Islam (submission) is divided into different branches such as Sunni, Shia (Shi’ites) and Ibadi and they each have their own ahadith (collection of hadiths) that are necessary for the true and proper practice of Islam in areas where the Koran is vague or silent.
There is a minority branch of people called Quranists which are not an organized group but are individuals who reject all hadiths. They believe if a Muslim ritual or a behavior is not in the Koran Allah did not hold its detail to be of consequence. An example is the five obligatory prayers (salat) per day. The Koran does not directly mention five obligatory prayers per day but the hadith does and Muslims are supposed pray five times per day.
Basically; any person (infidel- according to Islamic law a non-Muslim) of any race or religion can become a Muslim when they believe the Prophet Mohammad is Allah’s final messenger to mankind, understand what is to be a Muslim, believing in the one and only Allah as the only God, the only creator, the Almighty and that all good deeds are done only for Allah. There are other requirements that are easily found on the internet or in conversation with any Muslim Imam (leader).
THE KORAN (QURAN)
Remember that We and Us are singular in Koranic Arabic and refer to a single entity named Allah whom the Koran identifies as creator, that SAW is a title of respect for the prophet and in translations from Arabic to English when the word God or Lord is used it always refers to Allah of Mohammad’s Koran.
The Koran (the recitation) is the central religious text of Islam (submission), considered by Muslims to contain the revelations of God through the angel Gabriel (Jibril) to Mohammad over a period of approximately twenty-three years beginning in 609AD when Mohammad was forty until the year of his death in 632AD. The Koran is divided into surah (chapters) which are then divided into ayah (verses).
According to tradition several of Mohammad’s companions (sahabah: Muslim converts were those most familiar with the time, place and circumstances of each revelation due to their close contact with the Prophet and their eagerness to understand its every aspect) served as scribes and were responsible for writing his revelations. Shortly after Mohammad’s death the Koran was compiled by his companions.
Their writings had differences that motivated the Caliph (the title of a chief Muslim civil and religious leader regarded as the successor of Mohammad) Uthman to establish a standard version now known as Uthman’s codex which is generally considered the archetype of the Koran known today. However, there are variant readings with mostly minor differences in meaning. The earliest known copy of the Uthman Codex is the eighth or ninth century which would possibly be from one hundred seventy to two hundred and seventy years after Mohammad’s death- see Wikipedia- The Samarkand Kufic Quran for an in-depth study.
******The Koran is divided into surahs (chapters) which are then divided into ayah (verses). The Quaranic Arabic Corpus is a translation of the Arabic Koran into English by seven men who are recognized as top scholars because of their dedication, education level, fluency in Arabic and English, understanding of Arabic culture and their literary works. This writer intends to use their translations where possible.******
From: https://islam.stackexchange.com /questions-why-some-verses-of-quran-refer-to-god-as-a-plural-entity: “It is a feature of literary style in Arabic that a person may refer to himself by the pronoun nahnu (we) for respect or glorification. He may also use the word ana, indicating one person, or the third person huwa (he). All three styles are used in the Qur’an, where Allah addresses the Arabs in their own tongue. (Source: Fataawa al-Lajinah al-Daa’imah, 4/143)” SO:
(Koran 5:73- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a trinity: for there is no god except one Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.”
Remember that We and Us are singular in Koranic Arabic and refer to a single entity named Allah whom the Koran identifies as creator.
Biblical Names the Koran Lists as Prophets

Hud- 7, See: Wikipedia: a prophet in ancient Arabia. Hud has sometimes been identified with Biblical Eber. Muslims and the Koran identify Mohammad as the last and greatest of all the prophets, his name is mentioned 4 times in the Koran.
(Koran 2:248- Mohsin Khan) “And their Prophet (Samuel) said to them: Verily! The sign of his Kingdom is that there shall come to you At-Tabut (a wooden box) wherein is Sakinah (peace and reassurance) from your Lord and a remnant of that which Musa (Moses) and Harum (Aaron) left behind, carried by the angels. Verily, it is a sign for you if you are believers.”
Highlighting: Certain parts of the various Koranic texts are underlined by this writer to draw the reader’s attention to them and in rare cases they are also highlighted. Identified writer’s notes are periodically written to promote understanding.
(REMEMBER THIS: We and Us are singular in Koranic Arabic and refer to a single entity named Allah whom the Koran identifies as creator. Allah is the Muslim name for God or Lord and in many translations of the Arabic into English God or Lord is used in place of the word Allah that was used in the original Arabic).
#1) Who is Allah?
(Koran 2:255- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “Allah! La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists. Neither slumber, nor sleep overtake Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission?
He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter, And they will never compass anything of His Knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (This verse 2:255 is called Ayat-il-Kursi.)”
NOTE: Kursi Arabic definition on Wikipedia: (throne and can be used for an official title). END OF NOTE.
(Koran 5:73- Sahih International) “They have certainly disbelieved who say, “Allah is the third of three.” And there is no god except one God. And if they do not desist from what they are saying, there will surely afflict the disbelievers among them a painful punishment.”
(Koran 3:59- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; he created him from dust, then said to him: Be. And he was.”
(Koran 17:110- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “Say: “Call upon Allah, or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye call upon Him, (it is well): for to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither speak thy prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but speak a middle course between.” (Internet)-> “Rahman is defined as The Beneficent, The Most Merciful in Essence, The Compassionate. The Most Gracious is considered most special of the Names of God (Allah) in Islam.” In Islam 101 Dr. Iyad Sultan defines “Al-Rahman as the Gracious”.
(https://www.quora.com Why-does-Allah-have-99-names) states Allah has from 99 to 150 names and possibly the number of Allah’s names is infinite according to a Haddith authored by Musnad of Imam Ahmad. NOTE: The names of Allah I have encountered in this study of the Koran are descriptive of Allah’s personal characteristics and power. END OF NOTE.
(From: The Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement: article; Allah, the unique name of God) “Zechariah prophesied”; “And the Lord shall be king over all the earth, in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name one.” “All Muslims, anywhere on earth, speaking totally different languages, recognize the name “Allah”, thus fulfilling this prophesy “his name one. (All Christians, to take an example, do not recognize a single name of God, and therefore do not fulfil this prophesy.)”
NOTE: The single verse from which the above statement is taken is from the Holy Bible Book of Zechariah 14:9. SO: Please read the Holy Bible Book of (Zechariah 13:1 esp. V.6 thru 14:21 esp. V.11-19) for the complete prophesy (13:6) which is about Jesus and how He will rule from Jerusalem at the end.
Examples: (Zech. 13:1-9) (V.3-4) False prophets shall be punished. (V.6) The prophesy of Jesus being nailed to the cross. (V.7-9) The prophesy of when Rome would destroy Israel, kill two thirds of the Jews and send one third of the Jews to be disbursed among the Gentile nations. (Zech. 14:1-2) Prophesy that all nations shall gather to battle against Jerusalem. (Zech. 14:3-21) Prophesy that the Lord (V.3, 9, 12-13, 16-18 & 20-21 the same Lord used by Mohammad) will fight for Jerusalem and Israel and establish His kingdom. Read (Rev. 19:1 thru 20:15 esp. V.4) then you will understand Zechariah’s prophesy from which the Lahore Ahmadiyya Movement took its prophesy. END OF NOTE.
#2) Is Allah love?
Does the Muslim God, Allah, permit lying? SEE: Narrated by Ali: Volume 9, Book 84, Number 64 THEN: SEE: al-Tagiyya as explained by the website muslimfact/…/islam-permits-lying-to-deceive-unbeleivers-and-bri.shtml AND: SEE: https://quran.com/16:106 listed as Surah An-Nahl (16:106) – Al-Qur’an al-Kareem. Yes, according to the haddiths, Allah permits lying as long as it furthers the Muslim cause.
Does the God of Israel and Christianity permit lying? (Prov. 6:16-19) God hates (V.17) “a lying tongue” and (V.19) “a false witness that speaketh lies”. YET: (Gen. 12:1-20, 20:1-18, & Matt. 26:69-74 and 2Sam. 11:1 thru 12:13) Abraham, King David and Simon Peter told lies but when they repented and asked forgiveness God forgave them and used those men to further His covenant.
(Koran 11:90- Mohsin Khan) “And ask forgiveness of your Lord and turn unto Him in repentance. Verily, my Lord is Most Merciful, Most Loving (al-Waddud).” (85:12-16- Sahih International) “Indeed, the vengeance your Lord is severe. Indeed, it is He who originates (creation) and repeats. And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate (love), Honorable Owner of the throne, Effecter of what He intends.” Yet:
(Koran 3:31 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): “If you (really) love Allah then follow me (i.e. accept Islamic Monotheism, follow the Quran and the Sunnah), Allah will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” AGAIN: (Koran 3:31 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Sahih International) “Say, (O Muhammad), “If you should love Allah, then follow me, (so) Allah will love you and forgive you your sins, And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.” NOTE: Love Allah first then He will love you? Really? Please read (John 3:14-21 esp. V.16 and Rom. 5:4-11) for your eternal life!! END OF NOTE.
NOTE: https://www.thoughtco.com/islamic-abbreviantio-saws SAW or SAWS in relationship with Mohammad’s name stand for the Arabic words “sallallahu alayhi wa salaam (may God’s prayers and peace be with him) which Muslims use to show respect to Allah’s Prophet when mentioning his name. It is based on (Koran 33:56- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Shakir) “Surely Allah and His angels bless the Prophet; o you who believe! Call for (Divine) blessings on him and salute him with a (becoming salutation).” END OF NOTE.
(Koran 2:276- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Shakir) “Allah does not bless usury, and He causes charitable deeds to prosper, and Allah does not love any ungrateful sinner.” (Koran 31:18 Yusuf Ali) “And swell not thy cheek (for pride) at men, nor walk in insolence through the earth; for Allah loveth not any arrogant boaster.” (Koran 61:4) “Surely Allah loves those who fight for His cause.” NOTE: (Rom. 5:8) “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ (Jesus) died for us.” END OF NOTE.
(Koran 9:5- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, an seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war); but if they repent, and establish regular prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way for them: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.” NOTE: Islam the religion of peace? Really? END OF NOTE.
www.islamweb.net the article: The Sacred months AND www.islamhelpline.net are two Islamic websites that explain the forbidden months. Wikipedia has a very interesting article concerning the Islamic calendar. https://sites.google/site/tommyarnoldsite/four-forbidden-months contains an excellent map explaining the purpose of the forbidden months. The explanation of the forbidden months was much too long to be included in this article.

#3) Is Allah a Creator?
The following is from a single article titled Why we are here? www.quran-islam.org/main_topics/why_are_we_here_(P1351).html 23:115 “Did you think that We created you futilely and that you would not be returned to Us?” Explanation From Article: “The reason we were brought into this world is given in the Quran. Although this information is not presented in the Quran in chronological sequence, nor grouped in one Sura, various verses give pieces of information which together present the full picture.
The Quran confirms that we were all living in God’s kingdom before we were brought into this world. Although this is our first and only life on planet earth, it is not our first existence. We were all living before the earth was created. We were put to death and reborn into this life on earth:”
From the same article: (Koran 67:1-2) “Blessed is the one in whose hands is the sovereignty and He is Capable of all things. The One who created death and life that He may test you regarding who will do better works, He is the Dignified, the Forgiving.”
Explanation From Article: “There are no words in the Quran that are coincidental, and since God is always precise in expressing and delivering any truth, we cannot overlook the order in which the words “The One who created death and life” are placed. The placing of the word “death” before “life” indicates that we were put to death before we were brought to this life on earth, hence we must have been alive before we came to this world.”
NOTE: Due to the length of the above article please, please, please read the complete article in the above website for a complete explanation of all things created. It is an eye-opener into Islam’s teaching concerning creation. END OF NOTE.
Remember that We and Us are singular in Koranic Arabic and refer to a single entity named Allah whom the Koran identifies as creator, that SAW is a title of respect for the prophet and in translations from Arabic to English when the word God or Lord is used it always refers to the Allah of Muhammad’s Koran.
(Koran 15:27- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “and the jinn, We created aforetime from the smokeless flame of fire. (Koran 51:56 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “And I (Allah) created not the jinns and humans except they should worship Me (Alone)”
(Koran 38:71-72 https//www.islamreligion.com) “And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: I am going to create a human (Adam) from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud. So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him (his) soul created by Me, then you fall down prostrate to him.”
https://www.thought.com /angels in Islam “In Islam it is believed that angels were created out of light, before the creation of humans from clay/earth. Angels are naturally obedient creatures, worshipping Allah and carrying out His commands. Angels are genderless and do not require sleep, food, or drink; they have no free choice, so it is simply not in their nature to disobey; The Quran says; they do not disobey Allah’s commands that they receive; they do precisely what they are commanded”
NOTE: The KJV Holy Bible says: (Isa. 14:12-14) Lucifer, (Rev. 12:9) known as Satan, the devil rebelled against God and desires to take God’s throne (Ezek. 28:12-17 esp. V.14-17) because Satan is proud. (V.14) Satan was anointed to covereth (defend and protect) Adam and Eve in Eden (V.15) but he deceived them which was iniquity (wickedness, evil) within him (V.17) due to his pride. (V.12) The earthly king of Tyrus thought he was the King of his kingdom of Tyrus (Tyre) but Satan was the King’s spiritual leader. It is an example of how Satan can talk to people to deceive them (Luke 22:1-22 esp. V.3) and even live within them.
From the paragraph above you can see Satan became God and man’s enemy from the very beginning of mankind in Eden. (Rev. 12:3-9 esp. V.4) One third of the angels followed Satan in his rebellion against God. (V.7) There was war in heaven and Michael and his angels defeated Satan and his angels and they were cast out of heaven to the earth (V.9) and they became known as devils. If you wish to completely understand everything about Satan, the devil, and his fallen angel cohorts please read the three article series Satan: A Study Guide and Teaching Manual located on the commentary The Holy Spirit & You located on this website. It will give Jew, Christian or Muslim a revelation into the activities of Satan. END OF NOTE.
(Koran 2:30- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: “I will create a vicegerent on earth” They said: “Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- while we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?” He said: “I know what ye know not.”
(Koran 7:12- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “(Allah) said: “What prevented you (O Iblis) that you did not prostrate, when I commanded you?” Iblis said: “I am better than him (Adam), You created me from fire, and him You created from clay.” NOTE: Iblis is Satan, see the question below; Who is Satan? END OF NOTE.
https://sunnah.com/muslim/55/78 Hadith, The Book of Zuhd and Softening of Hearts (10) Chapter: Miscellaneous Ahadith ‘A’isha reported that Allah’s Messenger said: “The Angels were born out of light and the Jinns were born out of the spark of fire and Adam was born as he has been defined (in the Qur’an) for you (i.e. he is fashioned out of clay).” FROM: Wikipedia ARTICLE: Islamic view of angels. Yet: (Koran 21:30- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they then not believe?”
Did Allah create man in His own image? (Koran 42:11 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “(He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle; by this means does He multiply you: There is nothing whatever like unto him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things).”
(Koran 3:59- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; he created him from dust, then said to him: Be. And he was.”
#4) Who is Satan?
(Koran 2:34- Muhammad Sarwar) “When We told the angels to prostrate before Adam, they all did obeisance, but Iblis (Satan) who abstained out of pride and so he became one of those who deny the truth.”
(Koran 18:50- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “And (remember) when We said to the angels; “Prostrate to Adam.” So they prostrated except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinns; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord. Will you then take him (Iblis) and his offspring as protectors and helpers rather than Me while they are enemies to you? What an evil is the exchange for the Zalimun (Polytheists, and wrong-doers, etc).”
(Koran 15:28 thru 15:42– Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) (15:28) “And (remember) when your Lord said to the angels: “I am going to create a man (Adam from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.” (15:29) “So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him.” (15:30) “So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together.” (15:31) “Except Iblis (Satan), – he refused to be among the prostrators.”
(15:32) “(Allah) said: “O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?” (15:33) “Iblis (Satan) said: “I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.” (15:34) “(Allah) said: “Then get out from here, for verily, you are Rajim (an outcast or cursed one). (Tafsir At-Tabari).” (15:35) “And verily, the curse shall be upon you till the day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection).”
(15:36) “Iblis (Satan) said: “O my Lord! Give me respite till the Day they (the dead) will be resurrected.” (15:37) “Allah said: “Then, verily, you are of those reprieved.” (15:38) “Till the Day of the time appointed.” (15:39) “Iblis (Satan) said: “O my Lord! Because you misled me, I shall indeed adorn the path of error for them (mankind) on the earth, and I shall mislead them all.” (15:40) “Except Your chosen, (guided) slaves among them.” (15:41) “(Allah) said: “This is the Way which will lead straight to Me.”
(15:42) “Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.).” NOTE: Christians are considered polytheists. END OF NOTE.>>> (Koran 5:73- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “They do blaspheme who say: Allah is one of three in a trinity: for there is no god except one Allah. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them.”
Listed Below Are Some Other Koranic Places Concerning Iblis’ (Satan, Devil, Shaytan- singular or Shayatin-devils-plural) Fall and Activities.
(Tafsir At-Tabari): “(Allah) said: “Then, get out from here, for verily, you are Rajim (an outcast or a cursed one).”
(Koran 15:34- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Muhammad Sarwar) “God told him, “Get out of the garden; you are rejected.”
(Koran 15:39-40- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Muhammad Sarwar) (39) “Iblis said, “Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them (40) except your sincere servants.”
AGAIN: (Koran 15:39 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “Iblis said: “O my Lord! Because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong.” NOTE: (2Cor. 4:4 keyword: blinded and 11:14-15: V.14 keywords: Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light V.15 keywords: his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness ministers is defined as: to run errands, attendant, teacher, servant) (again: 2Cor. 4:4 keyword: blinded) Satan has the ability to blind people to the truth and lead people into false righteousness and false religions. END OF NOTE.
(QuranX.com: 18:50 – Al-Qur’an al-Kareem -) “And (mention) when We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam,” and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of the jinn and departed from the command of his Lord. Then you will take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.”
NOTE: www.islamawakened.com/quran/18/50- In every one of this list of 34 various translations of 18:50 Satan’s descendants are described as: Yusuf Ali- progeny, Shakir- offspring, M. M. Pickthall- seed, Farook Malik- children, EXCEPT: Muhammad Asad- cohorts, Shabbir Ahmed- comrades, Dr. Kamal Omar- followings AND Bilal Muhammad (2013 Edition)- dupes. END OF NOTE
(Koran 72:1 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “Say it has been revealed to me that a company of Jinns listened (to the Qu’ran). They said, We have really heard a wonderful Recital.” (Koran 72:2 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “It guides to the Right Path, and we have believed therein, and we shall never join (in worship) anything with our Lord (All?h)”. (Koran 72:6 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “And verily, there were among men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief.”
(Koran 7:27 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “O Children of Adam! Let not Shaitan (Satan- singular) deceive you, as he got your parents (Adam and Hawwa (Eve) out of Paradise, stripping them of their raiments, to show them their private parts. Verily, he and Qabiluhu (his soldiers from the jinns or his tribe) see you from where you cannot see them. Verily, We made the Shayatin (devils- plural) Auliya (protectors and helpers) for those who believe not.” NOTE: Obviously, in Islamic belief, jinn as well as man is either good or evil. END OF NOTE.
(Koran 22:52 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “Never did We send a Messenger or a Prophet before you, but; when he did recite the revelation or narrated, or spoke, Shaitan (Satan) threw (some falsehood) in it. But Allah abolishes that which Shaitan (Satan) throws in. Then Allah establishes His Revelations. And Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.” NOTE: Obviously Satan sometimes deceived Allah’s (We) Messenger or Prophet but Allah abolishes Satan’s deceptions. END OF NOTE.
JINNS IN ARABIAN MYTHOLOGY- part of the Satan investigation
wathanism.blogspot.com/2011/11/deities-beings-and-figures-in-arabian.html Please see this website as it gives a large list of pre-Islamic gods of Arabian mythology. NOTE: After this brief quote from this website’s introduction are given the website’s verbatim information concerning two (#1 & #2) nearly universally accepted pagan gods from pre-Islamic Arabia. END OF NOTE.
THE QUOTE: “A miscellaneous and unorganized archive of deities; spirits; figures and mythological people and places from Arabian polytheism and from the era before and during the time of Muhammad. The gods and goddesses of the pre-Islamic Arabs were usually tribal deities; legendary ancestors; spirits of place (jinn), or personifications of natural and social phenomena unique to the individual Arabian tribes: although there were certain deities that were widely recognized throughout the pre-Islamic Arabian peninsula.”
#1) “In pre-Islamic mythology, the Jinn are supernatural beings who personify and control minor natural phenomena: spirits of the wilderness and the inhospitable forces of nature and who were recognized by the pagan Arabs as divinities of inferior rank to the gods (alihah) and the angels (mala’ikah). The jinn are nature spirits that are believed to inhabit stones; trees: the earth; space; the air; fire; the sky, and bodies of water, and are thought to be fond of remote and desolate places such as the desert wilderness.
The jinn played an important role in the beliefs of the pagan Arabs as they were seen as personifications of natural forces; spirits of the land and mediators between mankind and the gods. In Arabian mythology, the jinn were created by Allah from a supernatural fire called samum (“scorching wind”); while the gods were formed from ruh al-quddus (“holy spirit”); the angels from nur (“light”), and earthly creatures from adamah (red clay). The cult of the jinn as guardian or nature deities was popular across the whole of pre-Islamic Arabia since ancient times.”
#2) “Allah is the Meccan creator god and the supreme deity of the pre-Islamic Arabian pantheon, who was worshipped by the pagan Arabs primarily in times of despair, need and drought as he was believed to grant life-giving rain and intervene in times of extreme crisis.
The three chief goddesses of Mecca; Al-Lat, al-Uzza and Manat were believed to be his three daughters and were invoked alongside many other deities to intercede for the worshipper on behalf of Allah: all the tribes of pre-Islamic Arabia venerated him as the High God and supreme being, but direct worship of him was rare.”
#5) Does Allah draw unbelievers toward himself?
(Koran 3:118 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “O you who believe! Take not as (your) Bitanah (advisors, consultants, protectors, helpers, friends, etc.) those outside your religion (pagans, Jews, Christians, and hypocrites) since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed We have made plain to you the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses) if you understand.”
(Koran 3:119 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “Lo! You are the ones who love them but they love you not, and you who believe in all the Scriptures [i.e. you believe in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), while they disbelieve in your Book, the (Quran). And when they meet you, they say, “We believe”. But when they are alone, they bite the tips of their fingers at you in rage. Say: “Perish in your rage. Certainly, Allah knows what is in the breasts (all the secrets).”
(Koran 8:12 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Shakir) “When your Lord revealed to his angels: I am with you, therefore make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them.” (Koran 22:75 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “Allah chooses Messengers from angels and from men. Verily, Allah is All-Hearer, All-seer.” The Religion of Peace??
(Koran 47:4 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “So when you meet (in fight Jihad in Allah’s cause), those who disbelieve smite at their necks till when you have killed and wounded many of them, then bind a bond firmly (on them i.e. take them as captives). Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islam), until the war lays down its burden.
Thus you are ordered by Allah to continue carrying out Jihad against the disbelievers till they embrace Islam (i.e.) are saved from the punishment in the Hell-fire) or at least come under your protection], but if it had been Allah’s will, He Himself could certainly punished them (without you). But (He lets) lets you fight, in order to test you, some with others. But those who are killed in the way of Allah, He will never let their deeds be lost,” The Religion of Peace???
SEE: https:///www.christiantoday.com/article/obama,islam and several websites from other sources. Maybe some world leaders should read these and other Koranic statements before they make misinformed statements like this. “ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF PEACE!”
NOTE: The survivors are forced to accept Islam or die! Is that how Allah draws people to him? How can the survivor of a murdered family love Allah, the god who ordered the killing of his family, and cause Allah to love him back? Muslim children are raised from infancy to be Muslims so they are not drawn by Allah; Islam becomes their way of life. (John 6:44) Jesus said no man could come to him except the Father (God) draw him. END OF NOTE.
(Koran 9:29 Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “Fight against those who (1) believe not in Allah, (2) nor in the Last Day, (3) nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (4) and those who acknowledge the religion of truth (i.e. Islam) among the people of the scripture (Jews and Christians), until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.” NOTE: (4) above: To acknowledge Islam is the religion of truth means the Jews and Christians have, for effect, renounced their own religious beliefs. END OF NOTE.
Internet: “Jizyah (above) is a religiously required per capita yearly tax historically levied by Islamic states on certain Non-Muslim subjects (dhimmis) permanently residing in Muslim lands under Islamic law.”
#6) How is the invitation to Islam offered?
(Koran 17:15- https://quranicquotes.com/2015/04/155-quran-isra-15) “Whosoever receives guidance, receives it for his own benefit. Whoever goes astray, does so at his own loss. No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another.”
Explained by: (https://islam.stackexchange.com/questions) The question; “What is the fate of someone who died never having heard of Islam? “Anyone who has not received the Da’wah (Invitation to Islaam) in the life of this world and died ignorant of the truth will be tested on the Day of Resurrection, according to the most correct opinion maintained by scholars. If they succeed (by accepting the truth), they will be admitted into Paradise. But if they oppose the truth, they will be cast into Hellfire.”
Concerning Jesus: (Koran 3:59- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Yusuf Ali) “The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; he created him from dust, then said to him: Be. And he was.”
(Koran 4:157- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “And because of their saying (in boast), “We killed Messiah ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah,” – but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of ‘Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)]:” NOTE: Here Mohammad writes that Jesus was not killed nor crucified but the Jews killed someone who resembled Jesus. END OF NOTE.
The Holy Spirit: (Koran 5:85- Quaranic Arabic Corpus: Mohsin Khan) “And they ask you (O Muhammad SAW) concerning the Ruh (the Spirit); Say: “The Ruh (the Spirit): it is one of the things, the knowledge of which is only with my Lord. And of knowledge, You (mankind) have been given only a little.” NOTE: Mohammad did not know and did not understand the Holy Spirit! Read (Rom. 8:6-9 ESP. V.9 keywords: “if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his“). END OF NOTE.
The discussion concerning the invitation to Islam will be continued in Part 13.
